Love him or hate him, it is impossible to claim he is not relevant in 2006. In his domain (entertainment), he was one of the top grossing performers last year, nudged out by only the likes of Steven Spielberg for total income.
He's also considered one of the most powerful men in showbusiness, as evindenced by this article in Forbes:
http://www.forbes.com/lists/2006/53/5S85.html...which places him in position "7" out of 100 of the most powerful Celebrities in the entertainment business.
The news story about having a couple of free days on Sirius may be ho-hum, and there may be many of you that have an extreme dislike for his programming...but irrelevant he is not.
The ESRB is a US entity...this is the same country that spent over a year filibustering about Janet Jackson popping out a boob at the superbowl.
Americans - you can expect a whole lot more of this under your religious right controlled government.
Wow, I take it back....Gay Marriage will indeed be allowed.
http://xbox.ign.com/articles/537/537930p10.html Confirmation that Gay marriage and Gay NPCs will exist in Fable.
I had read a developer commentary to the contrary some months ago, they must have changed!
I'm certainly with you, hopefully my post reflected this...I was surprised they prevented child killing, but not surprised they prevented gay marriage. The gay marriage thing would involve extra coding!:)
Which has sparked some debate in the small "gay gamer" demographic...the problem with these "true to life" games is they start dabbling in some cultural / social areas that create controversy.
It's already been decided that Gay Marriage will not be allowed, and that you cannot kill children in the game.
His most recent effort was that he submitted a song parody entry to the Howard Stern show, with a cover of Vinny's "Restless, Restless" song.
He's also got a forthcoming album...and covers Pulp's "Common People" with Joe Jackson that you can listen to here:
http://www.shoutfactory.com/av/common_people.mov As with anything Shatner...it is fantastic in its monotone delivery:)
Every time they update a Microsoft O/S, the "Automatic Updates" feature is more in your face.
Also, didn't I hear a while back that the "Scanning for Updates" plug-in captures and sends all sorts of extra info, like # of HD's in your comp, available space, hardware installed, etc.?
Wonder what this new and improved plugin grabs.
Heh, maybe because some of the translation is 'funny':

According to CR, The Panasonic KX-TC1484B gets both the #1 ranking in their review of 30 cordless phones (covering 900Mz, 2.4Ghz and 5.4Ghz phones).
In addition, it receives the "Best Buy" designation, given that it rings in at $69.99 up here in Toronto...and a paltry, Froogled $29.99 right here:

If Canada is fixing the HST, they might as well fix the PST and GST while they are at it.
FF7 is coming to Xbox? Or did you mean that it was the system seller for your PSX?
