Hypothetical example: I buy a new car. It is discovered that if you turn on your windshield wipers, the air conditioner turns off and that it does this in every car of my model. Following your logic, I should have to pay the car company to get the fix for this bug. Um, it was a problem with a product they released. By releasing it, they're giving me a guarantee that the product will work. (Granted, things will wear and break over time, but they are promising that everything will work inititally.) Microsoft promoted XP as as secure operating system that would protect you from hackers. That's a promise. Security holes have been found in XP. Not giving updates to fix it (and make it 'secure' again) would be breaking their promise (IMHO) that it was secure.
Did anyone else notice the Google add in this picture? It's the one on the far left. The one that says "Want Longhorn today? Cutting Edge Web UIs, declarative XML dev approach, Open Source."

Wow! You're right! I'll *definetly* pay $125 for Longhorn so that I can make my windows transparent!! (To parent: The jab's not aimed at you. It's just me venting my frustrations at MS for pulling all the good stuff from Longhorn.)
Maybe I'm way off base, but... with no support for file transfer or audio, won't most families and soldiers continue using the regular Instant Messenging programs?
C'mon, only 36 scents? I think I'll save my money until they come up with something than can replicate nearly any scent. Imagine: wading through a marsh on your favorite FPS and actually smelling the stink. Would add a whole 'nother dimension to games.
Now this is something I might be comfortable using one day. Was the thought of having sensors planted IN your brain making anyone else nervous?

Whether or not they're infringing upon my privacy, it should also be taken into consideration that it makes games for me (and for my co-workers) run far below what they should. It was causing HL (HL1, not HL2!) to be choppy for my boss. His machine is a 3.2 GHZ P4, w/ 1GB of RAM, and a Radeon 9800 Pro and a good motherboard (forgot model or I'd post it). It runs Star Wars Galaxies on maximum settings at full frame-rate always. (For those of you who've played SWG... you know how much of a system hog it is.) Just my two cents.
...thus enabling the U.S. to finally complete its goal and take over all of the known world and become the Global Police agent it has worked hard to become these past twenty years.

New Longhorn Slogan announced, too:
"Microsoft: The Reason the World Needs Software Patents."
Hey, can someone who's downloaded the file post a torrent of the file for those of us who don't have it yet? - Xierox

Thanks, man.
Hmm, interesting, I didn't know that. Thanks.

Finally! Something that will stop the big Linux vs. Windows flame wars!
If it's interesting it'll be /.ed.
It's not the first flaw witih Firefox. There was another one posted a little while back that affected all browsers, including Firefox.

He must be a hick. What else would convince him that it's ok to be his own father, brother, and sister?
