  1. It depends. on The Milky Way is Not a Spiral? · · Score: 0, Redundant

If religion only deals with faith and morals, there's nothing that can be obsoleted in there. i.e. stealing will always be bad, etc, God won't suddenly be a woman instead of a man... because those things are (or are supposed to be) divine revelation.

In these terms, religion is (or SHOULD be) infallible.

On the other hand, there's nothing wrong with science being fallible. Because science doesn't give us FACTS. It gives us THEORIES that explain how things work. These theories are assumed to be correct until new facts are found.

It's a cycle. Nothing to be ashamed of.

When people say the war is for oil, they are admitting they have no other real arguments against the war. So they'll just reference something that sounds evil yet has no basis in anything.

    Kinda off topic:
I'm mentioning the reason _I_ think Bush has for invading Iraq. It's the only possible reason for invading. Second, Sadam may be a dictator, but is that any different from the US where the CIA can just do whatever they want because "you *MIGHT* be a terrorist so they have to make sure? the US interventionism is world famous. Vietnam? Korea?
And don't forget that Bin Laden got so pissed off at the US PRECISELY for their intervention in wars that didn't concern them. He was infuriated that "the great devil" (that's how they call the US) would assist them.

The US does whatever they please according to the moment. One day, they help the muslims. Another day, they help the jews in Israel.

So to answer your question: why the high gas prices? Maybe because there's a SHORTAGE and that was the reason they needed CHEAP OIL in the first place?

DOH. There ARE already nanotube transistors using single nanotubes. ALREADY the work is done on integrating these on very large scale.

If they know how to attach a nanotube to a layer of silicon to make a transistor, don't you think they'l know how to attach a branched nanotube to make a full circuit?

Take a look at the industry. 2 years ago it was discovered that silver nanostructures were antibiotic. Today, LG gives us fridges with nano-silver coated surfaces.

This is not about one or two scientists making gradual discoveries. It's another gold rush. One man discovers a bit of gold, and thousands follow him. Companies are investing MILLIONS in nanotech R&D.

It was R&D that gave us miniature hard drives for your iPod, and flash memories. Don't you think that companies will compete and invest all they've got for the philosopher's stone of computing? Branched nanotubes are *JUST* what we've been searching for all these years. I bet you than in 10 years (or less), we'll be using nanotubes in our CPU's.

A few weeks ago i went to play with my 15yo cousins (I'm 30). We had a bit of fun playing games like Prince of Persia, Siren (we dropped that not because of the rating, but because the game simply sucked), and some Silent Hill.

But later we found a game from grandpa called mastermind. We followed the instructions and had fun for about 3 straight hours.

It was then when I realized that game companies only put sex and gore in videogames because "they sell". And there were we, playing a game so simple that could be played with pen and paper - and yet so addictive that we could stay overnight playing it.

Maybe it's time for companies to start producing more "family games".
