    so what's the difference between getting some kid's organs and killing an embryo to harvest them? Also, doesn't it sound a little ackward to dispose an all-new human life just to improve the quality of an old one - that possibly won't last much longer?

    I think #2 will ultimately be futile in that it will not slow their loss of control over media content distribution (and copyright violation) but it will make life unpleasant for many...

    Ironically, the illegal downloads will go where the *AA won't be able to control them: Developing countries.

    All this work for a less than honorable cause. Just think what could be if all this human effort had been channeled through a charity, say Habitat for Humanity, your local food bank, or teaching someone to read.

    Inefficient network use also leads to waste of money - which could be used for charity. And you're forgetting of a fundamental right that all humans must have: Freedom of speech.

Who can honestly justify this??

    How curious. I thought EXACTLY the same thing about the Matrix. What if Neo got brainwashed, and his adventures outside the matrix were nothing but a fantasy? What if the people did _NOT_ turn into Smiths, but they were mere officers of the law, viewed by Neo as some kind of clones due to hypnosis?

    Furthermore, Neo was told that the *real* world was nothing but an illusion.

    Hellooooo Heaven's Gate anyone?

    My guess though would be that this is so widespread, MS probably patented it to prevent someone else from doing the same and then beating them over the head with the patent.

    IANAL, but I think that a law which SPECIFICALLY prohibits some obscure behavior (that would lead to YEARS in courts in case of a suit) will certainly make the upholding of our privacy rights much faster and more effective.

    I'll take my carpal tunnel syndrome thank you.

    I'm still thinking that a mouse along with separate buttons (for the keyboard, to use with the left hand) should be much more ergonomic.

    Reason:

    a) You can switch fingers whenever your index finger gets tired (repetitive strain)

    b) you separate the moving from the clicking, allowing better coordination.

    My question is: Why doesn't any friggin' company do it!!
