...wouldn't that scare away companies that like to make games with trade secrets? Would it be a good thing if it means less games for PSP?
I'm sure that's why they are still only considering it as opposed to doing it right away. They seem to love making money whenever a game/song/movie is successful, I'm sure, so when they see the relative freedom of MP3's/PC games/etc., they don't want their cut of success to dry up.
(As someone who still wonders why guns and wanton violence are allowed on primetime but mere boobs and words are censored, I couldn't wait to say that.)
Then again, neither do I have a girlfriend, for that matter...
I'm with you there. I can't stand people who put on a confident face and become someone they're not just to have a girl. Indeed, just to not look gay, in front of God/Yahweh/Allah/[insert deity] or their friends. I'd rather live a satisfying life alone than forget who I am to have a girl who'd dump me for a richer guy anyway.
--and if anyone here connotates live a satisfying life alone with masturbation I'll personally hurt them.
The story here was the he was promised a percentage of the 'profits.'
After some accounting trickery, though, it was claimed that the first Spider-Man movie made *no* profit, hence, he gets nothing.
Now I understand. Gotta love these corporate accountants sometimes, thinking since they count the money, they can take it all too. *sigh...*
The main page says it's Centrino, and the pricing page says it comes with Linpus Linux BE. The notebook itself has a Centrino sticker but no Windows sticker.
Odd, to me, how they recommend Windows XP Professional on the main page and show Linux on the pricing page. Not that I know how that "recommendation" works. Maybe Acer switches Windows with Linpus after Intel gives the PC a Centrino sticker, though I think that would cost a bit more to do. It just seems fishy, even if Linux works better.
Is the ban regional? I'm in Thailand and my Acer Centrino notebook comes with Linux pre-installed.
I smell piracy (not that I'm very concerned). I hardly know most of Intel's practices, but it doesn't seem right that they would put their seal of Centrino approval only on a few Thai Linux PC's.
Maybe Centrino was just slapped on the PC to fool you...unless the store/warehouse swapped Windows out of the 'book before it went on the shelves.
Funniest phrase I've ever heard. Shall be sig'd any second now.
however, the posted link did not claim to be google, it's a link to a screenshot of someone getting those results. likely it is being tested, or only rolled out on some regional varieties of google.
Understood. I just don't want to be phished or something like that. I hope we all see this in Google soon.
As noted by numerous posters in this thread, and also on a Slashdot FPP just days ago, Google oftentimes rolls out features only to specific subnets. If you're not in that subnet, you don't get to see the feature.
Someone please mod that up, although I personally hope said character's Lindsay Lohan and neither of those two horrors.
From what you're implying...yes, child porn is just a sickening thing to even think about.
Gotta love states with constitutions that promise freedom of speech/the press/etc. while said freedoms are being bashed heavily.
Granted, it's porn...but is it really their--or our--business what people get off with?
that must be "plenty hot" about that right now.

Things are already going bad (and it's just the 23rd), at least if you're a Johnny Carson fan.
He has died at 79 years old. May he rest in peace.
The source will be open. The security will be real.
But it won't save you any money on car insurance.
...does it run Lin--ah, just about everything does.
But, does it run Racer --ugh, runs that too...
BUT, does it use x86-64? YES, something it can't do! But then you all knew that.
<lilJon> YEAHHHHHH!!!!! </lilJon>

I thought the new WinMX was delayed. Ah, forget it...
Still, you can't block every hole in security. Sometimes you just have to hope, right?
Among the many reasons that viruses spread across Windows PCs.
The internets...now that's a classic.
How about the (somewhat) phonetic form of the complete URI:
an http-colon-slash-slash-slash-dot-dot-orging?
The people who got that domain name are some lucky geniuses.
Yup. Looks like another Over $20k, but no one knew it was me response.
Maybe I'll answer for them--they might be too busy preventing the next wreck. They ought to be with all their users.
Now I understand. Gotta love these corporate accountants sometimes, thinking since they count the money, they can take it all too. *sigh...*
Seems odd he wouldn't get paid his due, considering the cameos he's made in Marvel movies.
Correct me if I'm wrong here.

Maybe.
I guess we can search on grugnog--er, Google--for ways to cope if things go worse.

You're probably right. I actually posted on this.
Now I just might get jealous of grugnog.com too.
me neither. I, and certainly keeleysam, feel duped and disappointed.
The posted link is not Google though it seems genuine; its much larger home page is, in fact, a blog.
Makes me glad to have a status bar on my browser.
I'd rather not see EA release a new .net every year.
E. A. Sites. It's in the domain.
