Object orientation is difficult to teach to people who already are poisoned by simple procedural languages.
Simply for the reason of learning the rudiments of program flow, logic concepts, simple data structures, et cetera
This is all included in Java/C# etc. in beginning classes... or do you believe loops are any different there? OTOH "list.foreach { lambda }" is probably even simpler than writing a for loop your self.
The evonomic effects of changes in laws are usually (that means the US) seen about ten years later. E.g. Clintons laws taking effect during the Bushs ruling, and the Bushs laws taking effect during Obamas ruling. Get a clue man, it ain't that hard.
Setting up your own tax heaven costs about $5000 in founding and them about $2000 per year to finance it. It is not just for big business. Every free lancer or self employed can do it.
Yahoo, did not start as a search engine but as a serchabl ehumann maintained 'catalog' of the web. I don't recal the timing, but at some point google outclassed any other search engine by figuring what is relevant.
Now is a super bbad searcch engine as it filters results depending on your search history and other things.
You basicaly can only use it efficient in anonymous mode and by not being logged in and probably clearing all stored data.
I was very longe an Altavvista fan and of MetaCrawler.com (or was it org...)
Actually most German 'pubs' have franchise like contracts regarding drinks. E.g. bars that serve Fritz Cola will onnly serve that, and no other Cola. And as Frizt also sells many fruit juices, the contracts usually forbid you to have any product on menu from a different brand, when you could get it from Fritz. E.g. Orange Soda (Orangensaftschorle).
Sulfor aerosols might be what caused the 1970s ice age alert (which was debunked right away, but people still believe it to day). During the 1970s we had some really cold winters in Europe and unfortunately: acid rain, forest/tree death all over the place and as a result coal plants got regulated to scrub exhaust and remove 99% of its emissions.
No idea what the people behind that aerosol idea think, but I guess they forgot about "acid rain".
Personally, I think a 13" screen is too small, especially for older people with bad vision. Then learn how to use the 'settings' aka 'System Properties'.
Sadly, the likely replacement for most people will be a PC laptop: they are cheaper, faster and have functioning keyboards and a variety of ports. Unlikely. Cheap PCs don't run OS X. Or need hours of work to get it running. Ports on Macs work just fine. Probably some models have to few. But is that really a big obstacle? No idea about your keyboard point, obviously I hate the function key replacement... I wonder why modern MacBooks can not have both, hardware function keys and that magical function bar.
A MS-DOS batch file is a text file ... obviously it runs on modern windows.

I think the groovy guys invented that syntax.

There is plenty of programming that has absolutely noting to do with math.
And also: assuming that one who is good at math is also good at programming is bollocks.
How can it look like ObjC in the slightest when it contains none of the syntax squirts of ObjC?

Yes, that was my first idea, too.
But I guess, corrosion or other hassles make it impractical.
No, I have no troubles reading.
You have troubke reading as you cherry picked 2009, which was a year with exceptional low coal usage.
Why dont you look at the left side of your data ... goes back to before 2000, right? And then look on the right side of your data?
Then you see an over 30% decrease in coal usage.
Howevver as you prefer to cherry pick, you obviously draw wrong conclusions. E.g. check the data between 2009 and 2016 ...
It is easy to see, for what ever reason, 2009 was as low as 2016/2017.
So what is your afenda, why lying like this?
Unfortunately or fortunately most Mac users I know use the Mac for professional work.
Plenty have an iPad, too.
I regularily use my iPad as second screen for my Mac Book Air ... it is amazing how nice you can operate OS X via a touch screen.
But most of the time I have IDE windows on my 'second screen'
What has that to do with the topic of the parent?

It was a bribe.

But coke and McDonald's have exactly that agreement.

The UI of OS X and macOS after 10.9 is just plain ugly.
That is why my Air stays on 10.9 and my 17" on 10.6.8
Why should I upgrade? The newer OSes have nothing my old ones lack.

The lignite coal usage is on same level than 15 years ago.
Hard coal is 30% - 35% below the levle 15 years ago.
Renewables are up from 5% to close to 40%.
