    and thus it would be very inconvenient to really run trains with just wind-generated electricity.
    Obviouslly, the railways use a grid. So obviously they know how much wind power they feed into the grid.

    2. Wind is a rather unreliable source of power - it may happen that the actual power usage of the trains exceed the actual power output of all the contracted wind farms (as the latter number may very well drop down to practically zero) ...
    You are so smart and nevertheless so dumb.
    Ever looked on a map? I suggest to look up where Netherlands are ... and then find a plausible reason why they should have zero wind. Hu?

    I doubt the climate change there has any big influence in ISIS itself, it only makes the areas they conquer, more easy to conquer.

    Yet, you claimed with utter certainty that getting rid of coal would "save billions, probably trillions".
    A guy who dies with 20, could have worked 40 - 45 more years.
    If he pays 10k in taxes each year that is 450.000 in taxes, lost.

    Well, the "don't consume, don't spend their money on vacations" is a good part.
    I would say the people living from providing vacation spots beg to differ.

    The rest of your comment is rather stupid, as growing wood and dying wood and rotting wood is a zero sum game. It does not affect the CO2 level at all.

    First of all: this year and probably next year is a "normal year". Neither El Nino, nor La Nina.
    Secondly: all three phases, La Nina, "inbetween" and El Nino last several years. Not a single year.
    Thirdly: after an "inbetween" Phase it is completely open if the next phase is an El Nino or an La Nina ... they are not really alternating.

    No, there is right now no La Nina, we are still in the ending of the El Nino.
    The next phase will be a "normal phase" and if we get afterwards a La Nina, or another El Nino ... we can not predict :D

    You have evidence that all human produced CO2 somehow disappeared? But: some unknown source of CO2 put more or less the same amount like he disappeared human production into the atmosphere?

    That sounds interesting ... so any hints for us, how the human made CO2 disappeared and where the replacement came from?

    Lacking nuclear power we see that battery electric vehicles are not any more "green" than using fossil fuels.

    the carbon footprint those batteries have is not added in. Battery backed solar has a carbon footprint no better than natural gas.

  24. I have to believe that the energy consumption involved in collection, separation and refining of recycled materials into something usable is more than making virgin materials and has a lot to do with why recycling winds up being economically non-viable.
    And why do you believe nonsense like that instead of googleing for facts?
    How should smelting 1 ton ready steal from a recycled car be more costly in any terms than refining it with coal (koks) from a few dozen tons of ore?
    Why is everyone in the developed world recycling? You obviously not ...
