Yes, but I am guessing that you have rechargeable batteries of some sort. My Kodak has a LiIon battery that lasts FOREVER, but also cost a fortune. My old Olympus took AAs and ate them like an old Sega Gamegear. 8 hours TOPS.
No mention of batteries! They can't expect Joe Consumer to know how much power an LCD eats, and therefore, AA's are NOT going to be enough. Also, I doubt that $20 includes any batteries...yet another couple bucks onto the price.
First off, how in the hell do they charge so little for something with an LCD? Can we hope that such cheap technology could be used im other smaller devices? Also, why pay 20 bucks for a disposable digital camera when you can get a 35mm for like 7? Seems to be an amazing advance in technology/ price point, but nevertheless a futile effort to make everything digital.
Gmail is accessible at http://gmail.google.com/ wherever you have access to the Internet via a PC, Linux, or Mac computer with IE 5.5 or above, Mozilla 1.4 or above, Netscape 7.1 or above, Firefox 0.8 or above, or Safari 1.2.1 installed.
The second statement I made is subjective. Obviously some demand more from their email services. But for a free service, it is fantastic.
It might also do us some good to remember Gmail is not a corporate solution. Therefore, it is adept for everyday communications, and has little need for Exchange connectivity. Oh, and um, yeah, it is still in beta remember?
Gmail4Troops must be doing really well. I offered up 3 invites over a month ago (prob closer to 2 mo), and have yet to be contacted by them to take advantage of my offer. I waited long enough, so I ended up giving them away.
No kidding...the banners have to go, the flash is excessive, and the mouseovers are pointless. I don't get it since the people that would fall for ads like that are not the ones reading TH anyways. The ones reading TH are more likely to click an AdSense link off the one side.
Theres an extension called NukeFlash or something like that - I really recommend it. Replaces all Flash animations with an icon you click to play it. I can get you the exact name if you want it.
The metrics on TomsHardware type ads are defineable though, since they require a click to go to the destination site. Spam, though, remains pointless, but you know that there are at least a few people looking for "g3n3ric dr/ugs fr0m ch|eap phjarmacees"
Thats why I try to browse sites on my phone that have dedicated sites with just plaintext or make sure my browser will eliminate such BW hogs. A problem, indeed, though.
I find the trend of inserting ads into article text annoying and distracting. I, for one, would never buy anything off of such a link, but obviously people are, or else this practice would die down. See this is practice with any of the articles at: http://www.tomshardware.com/
Who gives a shit about an opinion poll? (Harmony indicates Real does not) Obviously, Real could not dream of converting Mac fanboys. The only thing that matters in the end is if this series of stunts helped them gain marketshare. The end.
Too bad the Treo 600 doesn't have a high-res screen. I used to have a Treo 300 and never liked to use the browser since rendering sucked in low-res. I am still surprised they didnt fix that with the 600.
So very well said. And it only seems to be getting worse. The original UT seemed to be quite watchable, but recent iterations of the game have made efforts to make the action more frantic and choppy, and thus, less watchable - even for those playing the game. I know I would never watch it on TV.
Having children requires contact with a female silly. :)
Guy #1: "Man this Powerbook is HOT."
Guy #2: "Yeah, it is pretty sexy I guess."
Guy #1: "No, I mean it is singeing my pubes dude."
If Powerbooks ran Linux they wouldn't have this problem...

Gmail works fine in Firefox. Gmail is just as capable as Outlook, if not better. No wonder you posted anonymously.

Gives new meaning to Gmail

is the x10 camera less than 3 grams? If so, someone might actually click their obnoxious popups/banners.
but those have cameras and can operate in cold, fictional climates. :)
Since Arnold is now a politician, is this the new robot? :) Guess it's the one thing that could make the franchise lamer!

I bet you at least $50 of this cost is for the little circle on the package that says "PalmOne"
This is fortunate since there has been a SanDisk SD WiFi card for a while, but only Zire71 compatible.
