Amen. (Yes, I belong to a traditional sect of a monotheistic faith.)
How many games have people fighting religious fanatics?
C+C Generals
America's Army
Every modern-combat shooter
Halo
etc...
Sometimes, Slashdot's atheism (forget secularism) can drive me crazy (but I respect their opinion).
Agreed. Just a few days ago, Jimmy Wales asked what works we should wikify for $100M. Many people listed research papers and classic novels. What they forgot is that public domain (something everything should be in after the author dies) and wikification of original works (mutilating an artistic vision by havign 20 different ones in one work) are not the same thing. Wikis are for "just the facts, maam."
I think it's fine. These capabilities first came attatched to the Google Sidebar. It takes very little programming to make them detachable. I don't see why this is newsworthy (They have been detachable for a couple of months now) or something to fret about.
When George Bush leaves office in March 2009. The public is bored of it, and the front-runners for the next campaign (McCain/Clinton) are not war-on-terror mouthpieces.
The real reason that Vinyls will outlast CDs is that their grooves are physical, not magnetic. After 20-30 years, the CDS will no longer be playable because the magnets will weaken, ruining the data. However, the vinyl will be playable until it corrodes.
I think the statstic involving Sharia law is unfair. I belong to a religion that traditionally has a self-contained court to monitor its own laws. Is an attitude where the ultimate goal to be a self-governing community by your own sacred laws undemocratic or a threat? It's an eventual hope, like the coming of the messiah. Sharia support in a self-contained community does not mean they want to impose it others.
I go to school in Vancouver, BC, and on long days we go to the Rush Arcade in Richmond, its southern suburb. It has 250 computers with nearly every PC game released over the last two years. However, its success seems primarily due to the huge young Asian community in Vancouver, who seem to enjoy videogames more than regular Cnaadians (just like all of those stories in Korea). Is your demographic right?
It was a good read. Since their site is subscription-only, check in your library online subscription databases.

First, will it have audiovisual upgrades for Google Talk and Windows Live. Second, why would I use it vs. Miranda?
Ever read a EULA? They always do. This will just make it more likely.
