nVidia doesn't keep making more powerful graphics cards so Microsoft Word will look better and run faster, they do it because the games and gamers want more power.
If one big game developer made a game for Linux, drivers would be developed alongside the game and the industry would soon follow.
And then in the sequels he has to face his own guilt.
