...without first obtaining prior approval from the Democratic leadership of Congress.
Is she silly enough to think the the Democrats will control Congress forever? When (if) the Republicans regain control, then it will be they who are doing the censoring. Is this what she wants?
Clearly they won't prosecute anyone for hosting the random bits, but they WILL prosecute anyone who distributes the URLs that allow the reconstruction.
If the experiment is deemed a success the park may make the ban permanent.
By what metric will they measure this success? If people asked reply they "had more fun" without their PDAs, but attendance to the park drops 15%, would this be considered a success? I highly doubt that attendance will increase.
When can I run OS X on VirtualBox? (if you must ask, on my Linux machine) I would think faking out the special requirements of the OS would be easier in a virtual environment anyway.
So let's see, 49% of that would go to Google to record the entire web, and 49% would go to the NSA to record the rest of the internet, and 2% for the rest of us?
Do as I do, keep the start bar vertical on the right (or left if you prefer). Works for Windows or Linux. I like it better that way anyway because I find it easier to move my mouse to the right than to the bottom, I get full vertical space, and I can actually read all the tab icon text when I have many windows open. Widescreen works well this way, although I prefer it this way even on 3:4 screens (work area is closer to square).
I was using Windows (I normally run K-Meleon) and noticed Dilbert was broken. Then I tried Firefox... still broken. Both have no trouble with other Flash sites. I finally broke down and ran the MS virus installer and lo and behold I could finally see Dilbert.
looks like some senators might actually be listening to their constituents
Well, it gives the illusion that they are serving their constituents, while they actually know that the FCC is in the pockets of the corporations and nothing will come of this.
Not when you loop it through a ferrite core like I do.
There, fixed that for you.

what's the weather going to be next month?
...which Linux/Unix may have done sooner were it not for Windows.
That's because the people who aren't regulars on /. just surf the web and read email. They are unaffected.
Yadda, yadda, yadda. That Constitution stuff is so pre-9-11.

They better put him on suicide watch.

But the feed just sends links to the web page which is just as unviewable!

The only problem with Asimov's laws is that there's no law that says you have to make robots that abide by Asimov's laws.
Seagate - "You keep living, we'll keep making drives."
your friendly government CIA - "We can only keep you safe if we know everything about you."
I don't think so. What you describe is technology in reach now. 20 years from now we will be using something you could never predict today.
Shall we assume it was after a complete and thorough analysis and reverse-engineering?
"I may not agree with what you say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it."
There, fixed that for you.
Yeah, I'm getting better by the second.
