This is the function of business in general. I would not argue that business provides services for money. It's when business becomes a quasy government that I take issue with. Almost by definition, this what big business becomes.

Sorry, a miss-understanding is going on here. I agree with you, not the other way around. I'm speaking to the same "reality of the world and of nature". For instance, pot. There are laws. They're, more often than not, ignored (because of aforementioned reality, and, at least, in these parts). I think we're viewing the same concept through different lenses. Probably zooming into the indivudual parts of the same whole. I'm reminded of the 3 blind men deciding what an elephant is.

Thanks for the replies. I haven't looked into this in a long time. Last I heard was that the interbreeding didn't produce fertile offspring (aka horse + donkey = mule -- though as I reread the wiki on this, I see that mules do, on a rare occasion, have offspring). Something's telling me (my brain) that there's still some truth to that. I wonder if horizontal gene transfer could account for what we're seeing. I have yet to read the linkes from your replies, so this thought needs a grain of salt.

No assumptions made. I said "likely" for a reason. Sure a doctor/researcher involved in the subject would have a gread deal better grasp. No one in their right mind would debate that. But your family doctor may not (may is the key word) have more information to give you than what's commonly available to the public and what you already know. The reason is simple, they're generalists. We aren't arguing.
