Not sure how I feel about ginseng in my brew, so I'll have to study this with a few cases.
I'm guessing initially euphoric... slightly warm... followed by a spinning sensation... and possibly vomitting... followed by massive headache and nausea
You're missing the point I think... the complaining isn't about the loss of ability to freely distribute whatever online... its about the fact that they're not fixing the reasons why this phenomena occurs... i.e. high prices, poor product quality, poor copyright laws.... they're just making everybody a criminal...
You're correct... people tend to view bands as being credible if they're "signed" but thats just stupid... we live in a time now that anyone can afford to make a recording that is fairly good... and release it on their own for a fairly reasonable price... its their own job to promote it... if they can promote it, they can compete... I'm not saying that its common... but its certainly plausible...
If the RIAA/Clear Channel didn't control the entire radio spectrum monopolistically... then radio stations might play unheard bands from the internet and elsewhere.... and bands might become popular... without the tinkering of the execs... anyways... this guy is an absolute moron... and dangerous...
SCO: Linux is not better than us... we both operate on a world class level, just with 2 different flavors. SCO, well we're Rocky Road. Linux you see... air flavored... because it doesn't exist *rimshot*
Agreed 100%... on top of that... I'd rather have cds that I can do whatever I want with... rather than DRM crippled mp3s... I don't get when people complain about DRM crippled CDs and then say they won't buy cds anymore because they prefer iTunes which is basically... DRM crippled files... not only do you not have a physical copy... but you're not allowed using the inferior product as you see fit
Since when is it the job of an operating system to manage digital media rights? This is absolutely asanine... knowing Micro$oft it will likely be integrated into IE, the NT Kernal, Media Player, MSN Passport... and Windows Messanger...
How many security holes is this going to create on my system?
Windows isn't an operating system... its big brother...
Never need more than a 128 bit filesystem? My arse... and I'll never need more than 640k of system memory. Just because 128 bit filesystems allow an utter crapload of data doesn't negate the fact that 256 bit filesystems would allow a super utter crapload of data...
SCO was misquoted...
the actual quote was...
"Our evidence against Linux doesn't exist... oh shit... did I say that out loud... spin doctor that, wouldya?"
I thought about this myself... but Winamp5's video playback and minibrowser are tastefully done and unless someone mentions them I typically forget they're even there... and as a whole the program still takes up less than 10 megs of ram...
iTunes on the other hand had a memory footprint of quite a bit more than that, at least the version I had been using... I forget the exact number, but it felt pretty excessive... and I was fairly unimpressed with its library capabilities, although the search as you type feature is nice... iTunes didn't seem to like me putting songs where I wanted to...
Musicmatch was good... when it was free...
They added CD burning and crap to it... and it became totally ruined... you just can't beat Winamp these days... and iTunes is bloated trash as well... if you don't want to use the music store and/or iPod functionality... its a little excessive and takes up a ton of memory...
The only thing that is "stupid" is saying that mIRC is "nice"... Trillian's IRC client is fantastic... mIRC stinks worse than Pavoratti's turds after a week-long Chipotle binge
This type of rationale reminds me of the movie Waiting for Guffman... People get their hopes up about Linux so much... Linux-philes are so wrapped up in Linux (and I agree... its fantastic) that they lose sight of the fact that non-tech saavy people don't give a crap about Linux... they want what they're familier with ESPECIALLY with computers... Linux simply doesn't have the clout to knock Microsoft out... whether the market is aware or not... Joe Idiot will stick to windows because its simple to use... and they are familier... that is the bottom line... people don't care about filesystems, security, or whatever else us techies care about... they just want something that works... you must remember that its all magic to the average user... and Linux to the average user doesn't work...
Slow the car down, HAL... I can't do that, Dave...

6 words for you: "Open the pod bay doors, HAL"
BAHAHAHAHAHAHA.... ok.... idiot... don't have nightmares... I wouldn't want you to wake up in a strangely familier wetness.
Yay.... now we can see the fat, old Princess Leia in a gold slave-girl outfit...

Lord of the Cock Rings... porno... Sorry I'm drunk... forgive me... I'll regret this in the morning...
Damn you Asshole Kutcher! Yeah... I agree 100%
I think SCO is stalling so that they can rewrite their code to match the Linux code...

So I guess I better keep that VHS a little longer... feh....
On Enlightened Utopian Planet light years from Earth..... signal transmits YOU!
Sure it *might* work, but would YOU try to support Windows ME?
