  2. Re:Sadly... on What Should People Understand About Computers? · · Score: 2, Funny

Ok Maybe you do have a point here about some women not understanding myself but I think that just like with most things in life you can't sterotype women this way. As for the going for the looks part, men are the same way as women on this. You have to be somewhat physically attracted to someone in order to date them. And if they want to know where to find all the nice guys a great place to start is slashdot. But that's just my opinion.

  3. IM VS Email on E-mail Is For Old People · · Score: 2, Interesting

My parents have no clue how to Use IM, but they did get into email somewhat, so I see the point there. And teenagers who don't have a job, and who have friends that don't have jobs, have no need for email as all their friends are always going to be online, or at the very least have an away message up. However, in the business world no matter what age you are you're going to use email. And in the gaming world no matter what age you are you're going to use IM's. In short, while age is a factor, I think occupation of time is the biggest factor.

  4. This would explain so much! on Can Cell Phones Damage Our Eyes? · · Score: 1

I had better than perfect vision up until the time I was 19, 2 years into my free income calls plan. By 22, It's gotten worse, but not quite as quickly as my boyfriend doesn't like to talk on the phone more than 10 min a day. If it keeps up at this rate, my eyes will be gone by 30, all b/c of my addiction to the cell phone :-(

  5. One word....Mario on What Games Do Women Play? · · Score: 2, Interesting

Being female I find myself an expert on the subject at hand. Mario has always been one of my favorite games. For the past 17 years I have played it....from Nintendo to Nintendo 64. I do not care for later versions. I also enjoy racing games, but not the violent ones like GTA. I prfer simple ones like Crusin USA, Mario Kart, and the greatest of all time RC Pro Am. I think at a younger age (say before 13 or 14) girls like games almost as much as guys do. But as they get older, they find other things to occupy their time. Some women still play seriously but there are so few of us b/c there just aren't that many games that appeal to the majority of us. I think Neopets may have been one of the best games for most of us. But every woman is different....

You have a good point :)

  7. Well.... it would depend on the target market. on 7 Megapixel Camera Phone · · Score: 2, Insightful

I think that alot of young people would opt for the camera phone, and therefore not spend the money on a point in shoot.....and a phone. But, I think that our older generation would most definently prefer the standard point and shoot camera seperate from their cell phone. I see it as a decreased market, but not a dead one.

  11. The Bid Process is Crap on Would You Bid for a Job? · · Score: 1

My father is a licenced contractor. He tells me horor stories about what the lowest bidder will do to a building. For instance... He works at an undisclosed University here in South Carolina. Well.. they elected to allow the lowest bidder to install the duct work into the HUGE PE Center they built. Now that it's over, come to find out, there are 50 less returns for the air than there should have been. So the Air circulation is horrible... Great for sweating College Students!
