This is ridiculous. You can also run away from someone with knife, you can lock yourself in a closet, you can be 10 feet away and be relatively safe from someone with a knife. None of these things are true when guns are involved. Guns make mass killings very very easy, knives absolutely do not.
It amazes me that there are still people arguing that the best solution to the problem is to have *more* guns.
There are far more armed civilians in this country than any other country on the planet, and yet these kind of events are happening increasingly often in America. Clearly this is not working as either a deterrent, or helping to keep people safe. The free availability of guns and ammunition is definitely making it much easier for the nutjobs to do an unbelievable amount of harm before the police, or anyone, can respond.
