YEY for trillian! I deleted the bots as soon as they appeared. Hurrah.

  2. How about this.. on Coding and Roleplaying - Is There a Connection? · · Score: 1

Coding and knitting? As both an avid coder AND knitter, it's easy to see how the two relate.. ;) Cross stitch, embroidery..

  3. In full agreement! on Web Chats Help the Chronically Ill · · Score: 1

I sit and spend hours administrating a website which (to date) has had 16,000 teenagers register on the forums of (in the past year alone). They do this because they want friends, a support network and a bit of advice. I could have told the BBC that online support websites help people who are depressed or disabled or ill, friendships and talking to others really do help to improve an individual's condition. I've seen teenagers use the site, leave for a little bit and then thank us a couple of months down the line for the support which we gave them. I've seen amazing things happen! Online volunteering is seriously a worthwhile thing to do, amazing things can happen. You don't need to grab a spade to help others, just spare a bit of your time. ;)

  4. Eye Recognition on Cell Phones Learn to Recognize Their Owners' Faces · · Score: 1

I have to use eye drops in my eyes on a regular basis. I nearly jumped out of my deskchair when I read about eye recognition for bank accounts! When I put the eye drops in, my pupil tends to dilate and returns to normal within about an hour or so. Within this hour or so (potentially) my cell phone wouldn't acknowledge my existence and my bank would deny me access to my account if iris recognition/facial recognition were to be implemented. Even eye recognition isn't 100% foolproof. This terrifies me. We credit technology with more intelligence than it deserves!

  5. Googlemail?! on Gmail Becomes Google Mail in the UK · · Score: 1

My gmail address still remains this morning and I'm definitely through a .UK IP address. This hurts though. googlemail.com? Psh. It takes longer to type than yahoo.com, I'm too lazy for this!
