By the time this gets released Firefox will be at 45 Beta and won't be fully stable until version 88. Luckily, you will only have to wait 3 days to reach that point.
Unfortunately in those three days the system becomes self aware...
The hard truth is that for more than fill with patches, for more you put ugly hacks, HTML is not meant to do the work of native applications.
The problem is that you're about a decade too late with that argument. We've spent so much time and effort smashing this square peg into the round hole of HTML that the expectations are now incredibly high.
You can build real apps with HTML, just like you can build bridges with Popsicle sticks, all you need is buckets of glue.
Except that what she said was "with how much our government sucks, don't be surprised or upset if they're killed by militant groups". That only sounds threatening when you say it with a gun in your hand.
2. Everyone has the following fundamental freedoms: (a) freedom of conscience and religion; (b) freedom of thought, belief, opinion and expression, including freedom of the press and other media of communication; (c) freedom of peaceful assembly; and (d) freedom of association.
There have been many implementations of this any many variations since at least the early 90's. I don't know when the patent was lodged but I think Apple themselves may have prior art on this.
Patents and patent trolls should become illegal in our current economic environment.
I suddenly find myself wanting to know EXACTLY how the NeXTSTEP boot process worked. Hopefully this feeling will pass soon.
It breaks things that improperly implement the Comparable interface then try to sort objects that implement that interface.
*sigh*... I've seen more invalid implementations of Comparable than valid ones.
However, the reason for the change is that there's a new implementation of the default merge sort that is much faster for partially sorted input and small collections so if we get over the adoption phase it will speed up a lot of legacy code.
Note, I then installed Eclipse Indigo, which was having some problems with some of the plugins. I added the following line to the eclipse.ini file and the problems went away:
-Djava.util.Arrays.useLegacyMergeSort=true
Damn that's scary. If it breaks Eclipse what else does it break?
If any LOTR character is a good match for the Tea Party, I would have to go with Tom Bombadil. Completely fucking nuts, make absolutely no sense, have an annoying tendency to speak in song, and (hopefully) forgotten by the end of the first book.
I was thinking the Orcs, but that works. I always hated that part, it makes you wonder exactly what Tolkien put in his pipe.
It's pretty much the same. Looks great on the cover, but once you took a bite out of it you wonder why you chose it and you'll suffer for a long time afterwards and wish you never touched it.
In my experience that's true of all politicians at all levels.
Very well said sir. Never a mod point when you need one.

Being There. A wonderful film.
And yes, I like to watch...
Shouldnt the leaks be fixed, rather than having a garbage collector cleaning them up?
You sir just won Slashdot's "Wannabe techie dumb comment of the day."

The language is readable, flexible, succinct, expressive and beautiful.
I hear it cures cancer too. Oh wait, that's Ruby. (Actually, I love Python, but I'm allergic to fanboism...)
My bullshit detector is beeping silently in the background.
If it is silent how would you know it is beeping?
Perhaps it is flashing frantically, or perhaps glowing urgently from Cerenkov radiation.
I'll go with the latter, this headline actually caused my bullshit detector to generate it's own event horizon.
I was thinking someone had copied a Tom Swift synopsis, but that works too.
That said, the UK does not have 'Free Speech' (neither do we in Canada)
Canadians enjoy a freedom of expression, as explained in the Charter of Rights and Freedoms

So, give the president money, you get a job. It's called corruption.
At least he has some experience in the field. Unlike, say, Brownie
What does it tell you that there's more evidence of life in Mono than on Mars?
It's also less than 100km from Mecca, if I was going to build a Muslim tourist trap that's where I'd put it.
Is this an omen suggesting that the Zombie Apocalypse is upon us? Or is that Duke Nukem, I'm so confused.
What exactly do you think they did? Re read Kim Stanley Robinson?
Well said.
I love how half of the Slashdot comments imply that the commenter must know more about Mars and Geophysics than NASA.
Perhaps, given that there are over a billion Muslims in the world, they don't care what you think.
Tidak apa apa.
I'm no fan of RMS, but honestly people it's a minor technical issue. Move along, nothing to see here.
cower in my shadow some more behind your chosen evil deity based pseudonym, feeb.
Charlie Sheen? Is that you?
It's a fair cop.
