You can wear a knee length skirt even if you're a man, but a pair of knee length shorts is against the rules. That will never make sense to me how obviously sexist that is yet HR sees no issue with it.
It is the power switch. Started happening with mine and confirmed it on the Nexus 5 subreddit. Entire thread dedicated to it. There's two different width power switches they've used and it's happening on both. It's in a very tough spot to solder a new one on so around here none of the cell phone repair places would do it for me. Now I just use a program called "gravity" that lets me turn wake it up with a swipe of my finger across the proximity sensor, and a flick of the phone itself to put it to sleep.
If I skip the murder/rape am I still a pirate??
and if so
If I skip the hijacking/stealing/murdering and just rape am I pirate? I'm going to try that defense in court.
"I think the charrrrrges should be dropped yarrr honorrrrrr. I'm guilty of piracy, not rape!"
Unless the damn was built after using 3d rendered models and ran through thousands of simulations then it isn't "tech". It took no math or science to build the Erie Canal, the Hoover Dam or the Panama Canal.
In seriousness this is a better story on the site than a story about outstanding student loan debt. The engineering in projects like this and what it will take to fix it requires the same skills as people who design realistic game environments and physics simulators, etc. Many facets all come into play. Anyone who doesn't see this as "news for nerds" should probably go visit the Hoover Dam or tour an aircraft carrier.
Did the same thing here. If moving in the same country, whatever you can sell it for on the local version of craigslist is probably what you can buy it for if needed once you reach your destination.
And the step after that, is to just standardized the hardware for a generation, so that everyone has the same video card, processor, ram, etc and ship games on DVD's and play directly off of them... End-user support will drop even further to the point that your only calls are hardware failure and scratched disks (Outside of a buggy game). They could go with some trendy name, like XBox or Playstation.
I'll never understand why someone would pirate. There are things I want to see but don't want to pay what they want, but I wait until it's at RedBox or on NetFlix, or I just wind up never seeing it. Just like there are restaurants I'd want to eat at all the time, but I choose to eat at home as I don't think what they charge is worth it, except for a special occasion.
That's not to say I won't pay though. I'm going to a matinee of the new Batman movie later today. I'm not going to see The Watch until it's $1 though.
I find using my visa check card is much easier to track and control spending. If I have cash in my pocket I'm more likely to blow on small things like eating out, than if I have to stop, and run my budget quickly through my head of what I have left set aside for discretionary spending.
Fortunately I live on a spherical planet, so I have no need to walk in straight lines. Plus I have flat feet and a bad knee so I couldn't walk a "perfect" straight line if I wanted to.
Vista not being compatible is suprising to me, but XP support being dropped is acceptable. Who still running XP would actually be paying for Office 2013?
Why do I feel that OP is the type to then go around complaining that all the new workstations for the secretaries have i3's and generic Intel video cards instead of i7's with nvidia cards with 2gb's of ddr5 (or whatever they are up to) RAM?
Why not just shut your computer down when you're done with it? Unless you're on your computer 24/7... Why keep paying the power company? Years ago I realized I really didn't need to have a whole separate tower running as a server AT HOME. I've had to adapt but I haven't used any of my towers in over a year as I acclimated to using a notebook which is much more energy efficient than my towers were. It was nice always having an asterisk server, or file server set up incase I ever wanted to access something away from home but turns out not that important!
That's what I thought of at first, which would have been nice. Due to life circumstances and moving I tether to my phone currently on 3G which is fine for web browsing and sometimes can watch youtube at home, but an easy way to get my updates without having to bring my laptop to the library (I'm on Ubuntu but would have debated trying Fedora again) was an interesting proposition till I read the article.
If this was about television, movies or music, people would be on here preaching about how you should pirate what you want to see. So anonymous coward, next time an article such as those comes up, I ask you to come back and ask people to support sites with free music & video for download.
But when all fiat currencies collapse, and the world economy collapses, that hunk of gold is going to be so useful I'll be able to put money on my families table.... **cough cough** I think I'm going to put all my money into a stock pile of shovels that I can then barter with, or hit people with.

Exactly. If I don't like the cost and distribution method of something, I just don't wind up viewing/listening to it.

Why don't you just not watch their product then?
In the other industries is it illegal, or is it just by the industries choice? I'm asking seriously for examples of other ones where it's illegal.
How are the games obsolete? I bought a PS3 in September and have over 20 games on disk along with a bunch of digital ones and I love it.
All I see is Beavis asking, "Is this a God dam?"

Google Earth on Ubuntu & Fedora needs fixes applies by the user to make the fonts not look like total a**. In 2012 that shouldn't be necessary.
I think if we take the everyday person into account, more people would be going back to yahoo than bing... Even if yahoo's results are provided by MS.

Thanks for making me feel bad because you had to assume I wasn't homeless. :)

So the CLI exists solely to make the cataloging and sharing of porn easier...

A million things that are easy for you? Name em or shut up.
