So, the annual fee in Germany is something like 210... 70 less than the Danish annual fee. I think perhabs that WE THE DANES should reconsider how expensive our national TV is. The quality is very high and the total budget is probably something like 1:20 compared to the German.
But to make me pay the fee, I'd pretty much require:
Higher quality streaming Better Firefox/MPlayer/Totem/Whatever compatibility Open standard codecs Live streaming of every channel - even when they show movies Possibility to watch and download ALL self-produced shows
The real risk is that Google might start wanting some more out of Mozilla. If they fund the whole thing one might consider that they have too much to say. Of course you'd have to be very creative to figure out an example...
Also, Google might actually be dependant on being represented in Firefox. What if Mozilla screws them and get a deal with Yahoo? Ooops... there goes say 100 mio. daily searches..
Microsoft starts being more competitive with its Axapta product?"
The giant bought a company instead of inventing its own product.
I guess most software innovator's big dream is something like "when I grow up I'm gonna be bought out by Microsoft".
When you get all the benefits of Windows and you don't have to worry about stability, yes it is a reason to like them. Crack all the jokes you want, but Windows users never have to worry if their OS will be supported when it comes to hardware or software. The occasional crash, to a lot of people out there, really isn't the big deal that Slashdot has sensationalized it to be.
That's a bit ignorant to say the least...
Why does Windows have alot of drivers!? Because if the hardware companies don't hand over their drivers to ms, they won't be selling their hardware.
And why!? Because everybody goes around thinking like you. And does that make the world a better place? Was that how Adam Smith wanted the world? No and no.
Yet again capitalism stumples upon itself... only this time the people will be the big losers having to work hard all day so they can pay their windows licenses.

...is that no gambling sites were /.'ed in this article.
What a relief!
As to grey business: All businesses that don't deal with outlet/demand are grey, because the only substitutes are: Fraud, manipulation and theft.
...a better human team they start building a robotic one. That's sad, Japan... real sad.

Now try saying that to a coffee machine in Prague...
