    Presuming she knew what a "Windows 10" was.

    She stated she never heard of Windows 10, so even if there were one of Microsoft misleading prompts, if she didn't know what Windows 10 was and just click the "X" to dismiss the dialog box, she would have gotten Windows 10 installed.

    Once Microsoft started to use malware tactics to trick customers into installing Windows 10, lawsuits such as this one were the obvious end result.

    Excect to see more. (especially since Microsoft didn't appeal because, imo, they had nothing to stand on because of their tactics in this matter)

    It gets interesting when insurance is thrown into the mix. Who pays the insurance premiums for autonomous cars? The owner shouldn't have to because the owner is not the driver.

    However, if the owner chooses an autonomous car that targets pedestrians, then perhaps the owner should pay at least part of the insurance premiums.

    Should all autonomous cars, regardless of make, have the same morality rules regarding who gets killed in an accident?

    Or will I, as a pedestrian, need to be able to recognize the various brands of autonomous cars, know the morality of each, and decide which direction to jump in when one of those things is coming at me....

    I've seen Comodo certs on sites like Comcast's site login.comcast.net. It appears that Comodo has gotten its fingers deep into our infrastructure.

  8. I stopped using Comodo for my SSL certs when I read about their MitM attacks using SSL certs. To me, it appears that they are not a suitable vendor for anything security related.

    This Let's Encrypt fiasco is just another example of how low Comodo's business practices really are.

    Why 2/3s? 10% is usually considered to be the tipping point where marketshare gains momentum. Regardless, it is the growth rate, rather than the milestone reached, that is important at this point.

    If Microsoft is crowing only about power usage, it is an implicit admission that the Edge browser really sucks at everything else, like browsing, its main purpose in life.

    I think than MS likes to sell loads of licenses and the make a software fix rather than having the extra costs from policing every OEM under the sun.

    Microsoft should care about the Windows brand not being associated with crapware. Although with the recent events showing that Microsoft is making Windows 10 look like malware, I would have a difficult time convincing anyone that Microsoft does indeed care about the Windows brand.

    Even if every security protocol in existence were used, are they being used correctly? Additionally, what does the ToS for the service say? Are there any third-party "business partners" with whom the data are shared? Even if it were shared with personally identifiable data removed, it can still be used to identify someone.

    A treasure trove of medical information "in the cloud" is lusted after by too many corporate entities who have little or no regard for privacy, they just want access to more data.

    What business arrangements are being made with the school by CareMoney? What data, besides medical information, is the school sharing with CareMonkey?

    If it were my children, I'd run fast and far from this data harvesting Trojan horse.

    Simple, Microsoft sez: If you license Windows, no crapware. If you do install crapware, you are breaking the legal agreement and you lose your right to license Windows.

    Videos have their place. But most of the time, I find the Facebook-type videos move far too slowly for me to stay interested. I'd much rather read a posting than view a video. Maybe I can read more quickly than Mendelsohn, maybe I'm not mesmerized by video technology, or maybe I'm not trying to push the marketplace into a certain direction where my company competes better than others.

    If that is what you really think, you're listening to the wrong stations. Try listening to some local college stations (usually below 92 on FM), or some commercial Alternative format stations.

    There are some excellent radio stations out there, ones that are not owned by the huge broadcasting companies. You just have to listen...
