This man is absolutely correct. I am in my 40's and I cannot trust anything from any media source, and all the crap I was taught in School regarding history I am learning is half-garbage, and the other half is being challenged through 'revisionist history'.
America is truly entering a sad chapter, and her epitaph may well read 'divided we fell'.
We are supposed to be United we Stand. Unless all of us get out of this divisive mentality we are hosed as a nation. Though, sometimes I think that's what 'they' want.
I don't even entertain the notion of the entertainment industry having anything real or worthwhile to say that's not been skewed to some nasty narrative or bias.
It's getting to the point that direct person to person contact is the only thing published anymore.
It proves to me that people are stupid. When allowed to communicate nearly instantly across the globe, they get even dumber than that.
It's always too late to think about retiring. Money isn't going to fly out of your ass just because you're old. If anything, it becomes much harder to get.
It's great for developers but Mongo doesn't scale well to big data-sets. Sure you can increase the size of the instances running the replica set, but you can't get around the latency copying large data sets introduces.
There's a reason relational databases have been around since the 70s.
No, the mainstream media is not as bad as the fake news.
No, it's worse than fake news. I used to work in Radio. Whenever an entertainer ( Talk show host ) was terminated they would pile us into a room and explain the issue the host had and why they were irrelevant. It was explained that all forms of media. Radio, Talk shows, TV, Newspapers, all of it is classified as the 'entertainment industry' with no compunction other than getting a broader audience, and better ratings so advertising revenue
There is an FCC policy "against federally licensed broadcasters deliberately distorting the news." but as you will see from the following snopes article it's extremely easy to bypass, and inexpensive for them if they get caught at it.
If you haven't noticed, there is a very large segment of consumers that go out of their way to find hardware that's customizable, and you cannot legislate that away unless you're a Govt agency in North Korea.
Not sure what kind of Axe you have to grind, but the weakest link is *always* the meat-Popsicle.
Technology is easy. It can be automated and made ubiquitous. It's the person that has to be able to understand and use it with about an 8th grade education.
I never mentioned Apple, but they do a fantastic job of catering to the least educated and most educated denominator equally. Really impressive actually even if I do hate and refuse to use their products. Mostly because I refuse to accept vendor lock-in.
The problem isn't the software so much as the purchaser that rarely bothers to change default passwords or settings. Manufacturers are somewhat to blame for trying to make things as simple as possible and people are lazy.
The bottom line here is the consumer generally has no concept of the risk and everyone operates on the attitude 'I saw it on the news so it can't *possibly* happen to me. In reality the ISP should be blocking all RFC 1918, and spoofed traffic from a subscriber.
Plants breathe out what we breathe in. ( Convert co2 to o2 )
- In the spring and summer.
In the Fall and Winter most plants are dormant, and convert nothing. In fact, the decay process of the leaves adds co2, to the air and the soil, and gets used again ( ideally ) in the spring and fall as fertilizer.
Want to reduce temps? Plant more trees. In addition to converting co2 to o2 they provide shade, keeping local temperatures low.

You've already earned your money
Earned yes. But it doesn't come back once it's been spent.
Once you reach that point where retirement is feasible,
I will die at my desk sadly. Social Security will be totally dismantled or broke by the time I reach that golden age the Govt keeps moving back.
I will be lucky to roll my wheelchair off a cliff before I am in diapers.
The way the liberal left has been behaving I am not so sure that would be a bad thing.
Some over-grown children need a serious spanking.
The more these turds destroy and disrupt the more inclined to think we need to rid ourselves of this criminal element.
It will become clearer after your balls have dropped and voice deepens.
Herd-Pressure, I love this term for the problem. Much more descriptive than 'peer pressure'.

Only thing *trusted* anymore. But some opinions might vary at the suggestion.
This and so much this.

Just because you *want* it to happen, doesn't mean it will.
It's good to know some people understand the wisdom of the electoral college.
Someone better inform Utah.
She quit before the counting was over on the first night of counting.
That's like the coach quitting and leaving the stadium before the game was over.
Vote count at this point is a completely moot point.
Trump certainly had many opportunities to quit and nobody would blame him or be surprised.
now lets give him our support because there's no way Hillary will be possible going forward.
Personally I appreciate the 'heads up' when my nether regions are about to be invaded.
Anyone for some sausage with their tea?
This goes back to that conversation about 3 strikes and ISP's not willing to cut off their customer base and risk going out of business.
Not going to happen.
Toodles. It's been fun.
There's a quick and easy answer to that.
"Oh HELL no."

Keep your fingers out of my hardware Tyvm.
Lets hear those stories.
If it increases understanding of the issue, lets have it!

Good luck with your cause there.
You wish.
All hardware is required to be NRTL approved before it can be sold *commercially*. The buyer or builder accepts all liability
Here's a good read on it.

Sounds like a job the Dept of Homeland Security could handle.
What could go wrong?
