Last I checked when it mattered she had just conceded the race.
You know, forfeit, quit, gave it up to our new president. Etc.
You don't get take-backs on conceding the highest office on the planet. she *quit* it's *done*. These 'Not my president' are rooting for someone that doesn't want the office.
lets get this into everyone's head: " She quit the race." That's what conceding means. He's your President.
Last May, CBC News revealed that a rogue group of Mounties investigating the leak of a secret document spied on two Canadian journalists for more than a week without any authorization..

My Wife has lamented that tablet tech has lagged behind phone tech. Why can't we have 8 cores in out tablet instead of just 4 that we have been offered the last several years?
Discarding your religion and conspiracy projecting.
I work with many Linux servers in a day, and having a native desktop that doesn't require this thing or that thing installed to talk to other technologies or platforms is a dream.
Korora has all the widgets of Ubuntu with the speed you would expect from Centos. Audio drivers, video drivers are sorted for both nvidia and ati.
I was playing games as soon as I installed steam and loaded Team Fortress 2. With no tweaks.
That's a huge improvement in the last 21 years I have been using Linux when You installed from Floppy, Compiled, and installed your Kernel by hand and started with a completely clean X window Interface. It was plain and bland but at least you didn't have to worry about having a big enough video card to run Windows.
Back then games were limited on the desktop to things like 'fortune'.
Bonus round. Review all our threads and find where I claimed
there is one true OS
You're the one that brought that up.
I even placed Mac 2nd over windows.
Who want's Apple to be number 1? It may be number one to you, That's fine. Linux is number one to me and those are my reasons. Anyone is welcome to share them, or have their own that don't agree.
Why, are we arguing which one is best when we clearly have differences of personality that leads us to interface with the digital world differently.
“We’re essentially in agreement with other studies that show an increase in ice discharge in the Antarctic Peninsula and the Thwaites and Pine Island region of West Antarctica,” said Jay Zwally, a glaciologist with NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland, and lead author of the study, which was published on Oct. 30 in the Journal of Glaciology. “Our main disagreement is for East Antarctica and the interior of West Antarctica – there, we see an ice gain that exceeds the losses in the other areas.” Zwally added that his team “measured small height changes over large areas, as well as the large changes observed over smaller areas.”

Apple has done an amazing job making mediocre techs feel like technical demigods. (Not to suggest you fall into that category) It's great for producing consumer grade work without allowing for the distraction of 'options', or a sense of making sound financial decisions considering how much more expensive a Macbook is compared to a similarly equipped PC which can run any number of OS including MacOS ( Formerly BSD ) .
That said, don't get me wrong. I cut my programming teeth on the Apple][e and I have fond memories of it. But as we grow and mature we have a tendency to choose the best tool for the job while keeping a wise eye on our spending. Read: When you're not depending on work to buy your kit you need to spend wisely.
I don't run Linux on the desktop at home because I am after the revere of/., I run it because I can afford it, I have the freedom to install and run a wide variety of apps often from other OS with some exceptions. But that's still more than OSX / BSD Offers. I run it because I have more trust in Linux protecting my privacy than in an OS that comes unabashedly with a key-logger that sends all it's data home so the OS can serve me 'targeted ads'.
*Fuck*Ads* and **Double**Fuck**Ads**On**My**Os**
Given that last little bit, Mac actually stands higher in my preference than windows. But the price point beats Apple into the corner. The only catch to Linux is you are generally compelled to be more competent in the use of your system. I don't see that as a bad thing.
Windows attempt to run bash and ubuntu is a laughable failure so far. Windows is by no means a Virtual Service like vSphere.
The power and joy of Linux on my desktop is that it's not windows. It's not the linux Apps I want in windows, it's the Windows *Games* I want in Linux. Until better alternatives to Overwatch are found or created. Even then, I am half a mind to leave overwatch altogether so I can recover that TB HDD windows is wasting.
You shouldn't get your science from the entertainment industry. That includes news agencies. Same industry.
Instead I would encourage you to peruse the vast store of data available through various governmental agencies and take a look at the numbers there.

You talk of 'Telemetry' as though it were not a keylogger, which is one of the things most anti-virus software scans for. You're suggesting that we suddenly turn a deaf ear to decades of CIS best practices simply because MS changed the word from 'Keylogger' to 'Telemetry'.
I am pretty sure you can guess what I think you can do with yourself and that opinion of yours.

Slashdot is guilty of fake news too.
Clinton has already been shown to be leading the popular vote by a sizable margin.
Fake news detected. The margin is less than .1%, and quite less than the margin for error.
Everyone seems to forget that the world does *not* revolve around online message boards.
In fact, Facebook, Reddit, Tumblr etc are all vast echo chambers where everyone reinforces their own beliefs with ravenous force.
The online community has been stunned to learn that they aren't the only people to vote and those other people have a more solid foundation in logic.
This election will be the defining moment for these online millennials as they learn to deal and grow the fuck up.
This election will be known as the defining moment for millennials as they learn to deal and grow the fuck up.
I think in this context since it's well known they hate the name it's plausible they prosecuted them for the 'provoke an attack' portion of the law.
It's still BS though. It just proves that France has caved completely. Though I guess I shouldn't be surprised.
Pretty sure naming your Wifi hotspot 'Viva La Sharia Law' would be perfectly legal.
Except Google collects that information which could then be requested.

Jeebus this was covered in Popular Science in the late 80s. The F?

Best reference I could find. I recall the article even covered people playing with styro-foam as a super-conductor.
"I can do Linux apps and do it still running Windows!"
FTFY but yea, pretty sure the problem with this conversation is me. :)
Heard this on the radio today.
Great to know good old slashdot is now in lock-step with the mainstream media programming and calling it 'tech'.
My Wife has lamented that tablet tech has lagged behind phone tech. Why can't we have 8 cores in out tablet instead of just 4 that we have been offered the last several years?
And this is how Russia bankrupted itself and collapsed. We are sadly next if we don't start managing our money better.
So they have claimed.
Ubuntu on Windows is not Windows running Linux by any stretch of the imagination. It's Windows running a Linux app.
It's not Linux people. It's just not.
Brand new rule.
Thanks for that.
We are done here.
There are three things I will not discuss with people.
- Politics
- Religion
- The Weather, because it combines both politics, and religion.
May peace find you in the church of the chicken little.

And why is that difference seen as 'wrong'?
I am sure you know better than that.

Don't guess. Do it. You claim 'science' and 'facts', then do some science, and check the facts. You will be surprised.

I moved to BSD. After all this, the only conclusion is that the only Unix flavor that works on the Desktop is OSX.
Which believe it or not is a complete rip of BSD because of what the BSD licence allows.
