I always found the film to be campy and fun. A heavy satire of the world at large.

This claim of fascism so many decades after its first showing has zero credibility when considering current political retardation from the entertainment industry.

I still see it as a funny campy satire.

Your political mileage may vary. Not *everything* has hidden fucking messages.

Why the hell would anyone still be pushing this disproven "more eyeballs" narrative?!

It's important to not that if there weren't eyeballs on the code we would never have known about the vulnerabilities to fix to begin with.

They would have only been discovered and exploited by the malicious and never disclosed unless the attack was discovered while the company responsible would spin the issue and would ( in most cases ) not spend the money to secure other installations.

Because flaws cannot be hidden, overlooked or covered up, researchers and other interested parties can perform their own independent audit of the software powering their systems.

-- More eyeballs does in fact mean more secure code. -- Think of it as a global oversight committee.

Any parent that hasn't had 'I hate you!' screamed at them have probably not been doing their job adequately.

Not qualified to speak about what's good for them or not. I would debate having just one isn't enough to qualify someone.

Bottom line, tough shit. Too many people with 'good intentions' fucking shit up for the people raising children.

  8. working the fast food counter is supposed to be a kid's summer job and off hours for college and pocket money or first car. It is not living wage work for adults.

    Mod Parent up for this.

    But down for this:

Condoms are free. Their parents shouldn't have had children they could afford to educate properly to the level required to become self sufficient productive members of society.

You can give a child all the things they need for success and do everything clinically or witch-Doctor-ish to set them on the right path to success. It's still the child's choice to apply the principles they have been introduced to and choose for themselves to succeed or not. Blaming an individuals life on their parent is a cop out of the highest order.
