so it's sort of like parchive http://parchive.sourceforge.net/ which is software splits every file you backup into small slices, any majority of which can be used to perfectly recreate all the original data
Of course useing some code from the fork is ethical. the whole idea of the gpl is to give out the code and let anyone modify it with teh understanding that and modifications can be broght back into the orriginal to improve it. in fact to my understanding you dont' even have to give the patch's writers credit at all. Your going beyond your obligations to give credit to those that deserve it. there is no question in my mind your use of this code is ethical.
From the discription this sounds like nothing more then recording multiple sessions on a cd. This is something that has been done for years by companies that sell mac and windows software, allowing them to put the mac and windows software on one disc for distribution.
hmmmm should I pay $X for microsofts PRV adapter and media player for the xbox and deal with whatever DRM they through in, or just flash the TSOP and upload XBMC to my xbox. Oh well I guess that wasn't to hard a decision after all.
So this works in alternative browsers huh? What about say wget? or lynx? I for one would like to see the DRM they've come up with that prevents me from copying out of a terminal window, or even better yet couldn't be automated wiht a little sed/awk/lynx -dump action
Comcast's Magic number isn't necessarily aound 100G a month, it depnends where you live. I pull down ~250-300G per month and haven't recieved a letter since RCN started competeing with comcast in my area ( I did recieve one before they did though)

A remote exploit just from watching a DVD? I'm shure glad windows doesnt' come with a dvd player at all, that way I know I'm safe.
Comcast is now in the process of upgradeing all 3Mbit customers to 4Mbit prepare to get excited ;-)
