Nice contradiction. Last time I checked the game industry had a rating system in place to warn parents about the content of the games. If you did move to a rural area and homeschooled your kids, then yes, you have done what you can to censure pop culture. But then you go on to point out that half their friends have the violent games (GTA in this case), which makes the fault lie on child's friends' parents.

So I'd have to disagree and say it is the parents' fault that kids are exposed to this. It is up to the parents to raise their children, and if they do a shitty job of it, they shouldn't go looking to play the blame game.

A lot of it radiates out into space. In fact most of it does. That's how the Earth has maintained a somewhat balanced temperature over the past... well... since the last ice age (which was about 10,000+ years ago).

To get a better idea of heat energy radiation into space, think of how a capsule in space will get cold if it has no power (ie. Apollo 13). The earth is really just a big space ship.

The great grandparent post is a piece of information. Because the addition of this information into the discussion causes confusion (which can be seen from your inquiry) it can be viewed as negative information as it raises more questions without giving anything conclusive.

Now technically, this really isn't negative information as you still retain all the knowledge you have, but if you wished to rationalize it, you now know less because there is more to understand.

Think of it this way. If you know five pieces of information, and you know of five other pieces you aren't sure about (for example, the post in question) you would effectively know half of the information known to you in existance. If a piece of information is unconclusive, only raising the awareness of something you don't know, then it effectively reduces the percentage of what you know (ie. 5/11 as opposed to 5/10), leaving you knowing less. And although I am not quite sure that this was the purpose of the post, it's effect can be clearly seen.

    Hoped this help :)

They still have the choice to do that activity if they wish, do they not? Liberty is defined as the condition of being free from restriction or control.

As long as no person imposes any restrictions on what they will or will not do then their liberty remains intact. The only things that permanently limit liberty are the laws of physics.

Threat of physical harm may not always dissuade someone from doing something as you should know from all the stupid things people do getting themselves hurt (ie. skydiving, mountain climbing, etc.).
