I think it could be fairly useful but would probably end up being more novelty than anything else. There are easier ways to accomplish the same thing that folding windows does. I will have to agree with a few other posters here, it is much easier to Ctrl+C then Ctrl+V.
The answer is yes there have been monitors that can do this for a while. www.sharpsystems.com
Notebooks PCRD3D PCAL3D
Monitor LL-151-3D
The technology is good now, but it is just the first run. There are more products in the works that are much better than these.
As far as technology taking advantage of the monitors, all that is required is an nVidia graphics card and the up to date drivers that make nVidia compatible with 3d glasses. It will display Direct3d programs in 3d to the best of my knowledge and there is certain science software that makes full use of the monitor.

Well, truth be told, they play this game once or twice a year.
It might be worth it to Intel for people to continue to see the P4 symbol on Dell computers regardless of how much their losing on it. Dell does have a large market share.
It's true. It is making waves in many circles. I just don't think it's making such a huge wave in standard internet users as what you will see in gamers or techies.
Unfortunatly for those of us that end up fixing the computers the people who are standard users aren't very apt to use something new.
I have a windows machine but for things like this I like to also use my linux machine.
I hope they are watching this article because I know many others have the same hope of getting a linux client.
PPC in many cases is a more advanced arch., at least from what I understand. Would I use Windows on it? I'm trying to get away from windows on the x86 much less want it on PPC.
I made a request just a couple days ago and they have me set up.
I totally agree. As long as you can't sign up for a similar account with periods (and you can't) then there is no problem and it can be convenient.

Your site is geared towards what could be condsidered early adopters.
I am also considered an early adopter so the fact that I use Firefox doesn't count as much, so I'm told.
Thanks for you statistics though. It's nice to see Firefox gain suck a lead in so many places.

I was a bit confused myself but after reading the article it makes perfect sense.
Maybe that's just me.
