Are you nuts?
You obviously don't understand how this framework is designed. This isn't even about web apps.
Where is there any hint that this will run untrusted? Since when does anything in Linux run untrusted?
Silverlight for great justice?
Isn't this the sort of thing Palm encouraging on their new Web OS SDK? Sadly, I do not believe there is a current option to write binary compiled code on that platform even if you wanted to. I'm happy with Maemo for now.
Linux is my primary OS and I use Hotmail only for legacy purposes every now and then since the account dates back to 1997. The new interface is essential to quickly remove all of the spam compared to the original version. It is still inferior to gmail.
I figured out this user agent issue months ago. Firefox Windows works, but any other user agent combination does not.
On the rare occasion that I check my hot male, I have to remember to switch the user agent and then switch it back.
There is a handy firefox plugin to help this called User Agent Switcher. http://chrispederick.com/work/user-agent-switcher/
Keep in mind that Firefox Windows is not a predefined choice so you must manually add an entry with the proper value.
Popup in the middle of the screen? What kind of archaic client do you use? An unobtrusive balloon tip in my KDE system tray with an option to ignore is all I get using Kopete.
I've received an SMS while doing 70 on the freeway and have actually responded. Quick text pre-canned responses are helpful, but I actually slowly typed out a response on my Treo with one hand.
Yes I'm a fool. It'd probably be safer to use a cell phone with normal keys as you can feel blindly for what you want to type. This is harder to do one handed on a qwerty smartphone.
I once had to overclock a 486DX2-50 to 66mhz in order to install Win98SE. This was back in 98. I wound up putting two ISA NICs in it and used "Internet Connection Sharing" to make myself a router box for my brand new DSL line. I wound up leaving it overclocked and it was totally stable with an uptime of months on end though the longest period of time you could go without being forced to reboot after installing a critical update was about a few weeks. This was before cheap consumer routers were widely available. It served its purpose well for quite some time until I was DDoSed by a script kiddie on a DALnet chatroom. At the time Verizon used to actually hand out static IPs so I was at the mercy of this script kiddie until I finally got Verizon to give me a new IP.
It has been known since day 1 when google apps for your domain became available that it would eventually become a paid service.
The company that I work for with over 100 users has migrated to corporate hosted gmail, google calendar, google docs, and a jotspot wiki. Our sales people use an on demand CRM system and our consultants use an on demand project management/billing/invoicing system. We are total on demand. The only in-house servers that we have are strictly for internal development and testing of our Web Services code by our programmers. Even our code repository is ASP hosted.
"The whole ASP concept is basically snake oil. Vendor lock-in at it's absolute worst."
There is no lock-in when you have a web services API that lets you snake out that data.

Free and open source jMoney is a no-frills solution that does the job. If you don't require all sorts of fancy features, jMoney will do the job well. It is also cross-platform Java based.
I have made the leap from a pen and paper check book because it ran out of pages to this about 6 months ago and I am never looking back.
Wait till they get a load of this misuse of poor Mario's ass!

It goes without saying that this link is NSFW, but I'll say it anyway. Warning, the above link features a 3d rendered cartoon Mario(TM) spreading his asscheeks like the goatse man.
I've had 250 megs for about 2 months now. I've been using my hotmail account since 1997 before they were bought out by Microsoft.
There are two reasons for which I have not switched permanently to Gmail yet.
#1: All the good names are already taken. #2: MSN offers free access to hotmail via their Outlook email client. It behaves somewhat like an IMAP account and I don't have to deal with ads. I can also drag and drop hotmail emails back and forth between local folders in my email client.
Off topic: I would never pay for premium features offered by hotmail, gmail, or yahoo because for the same amount of money I could rent a mail server and use an original domain name.

Don't get me started on the general horror that is the typical Microsoft Access database schema.
Ever hear of a site called youtube? If the slingbox could serve up the videos in flash, that would own all.
Along those lines: (_*_) (_o_)

Why bro?
I wonder if boy-toy N'Syncer Lance Bass can raise enough money this time around to make his dream come true.

I for one welcome our new "spread-out" IDE layout overlords. Quite useful for those with multiple, large, high-resolution monitors.
