I could have phrased that better. Specifically I meant educations which are based wholly in theology and prohibit or strongly discourage the study of anything other than or conflicting with theological studies.
I'm certain the company that bought them will be able to easily turn them around, like Myspace, AOL, Prodigy and that search engine named after chocolate milk.
Religion in most of the world has a huge impact on economic success, as does the availability and quality of education. In addition the current financial state of a region makes a huge difference, when I don't worry about finding food I can read and study more. When clean water and sanitation are taken care of I can focus more on research and development of new ideas and technologies. A person forced to read a holy book instead of a science book probably won't be much help developing the next IPhone,
Every day I listen to Pandora on the way to/from work. Inevitably I will hear the same track, often more than once and skip it. I use Pandora to discover new artists related to the well known artist I entered. Obviously if Pandora keeps playing the same tracks from this artist they will have to pay them top dollar, if they play obscure and less known (cheaper per track I assume) they will make me happy and lower expenses. I blame Pandora for this problem, not the artists.
There are two providers where I live, ATT and Cable, both offer TV/Phone/Internet and pricing is pretty similar. If one were to give up unlimited data, the other would have to as well, otherwise there would be a huge loss of customers as they shift over to the other provider. I understand that this is specific to markets where there are multiple providers but the choice between unlimited from one provider and limited from another really isn't much of a choice.
I know nothing about this but am curious. Why would people who are deaf be unable to type as well as anyone else? If I was deaf I'd keep a tablet PC with me at all times in case I encountered someone I had difficulty communicating with so I could just type my message.
I'm all for cool science projects but at those speeds I think we can assume any accident will be fatal, especially if the fuel ignites. Why not partner with the google team to make it autonomous, it would be great press for google and would generate buzz for the project.
According to Wikipedia: "She is often credited as the creator of this genre and remains among the most prominent performers, with worldwide sales of more than 30 million records and 2 million DVDs, establishing herself as the world's best-selling soprano of all time"
If he were to fill up with petrol once a week at a cost of 40$ US he would be able to fill up for 8 years at the same cost of this conversion, not including the cost of charging. A Conversion to natural gas seems like it would be a more economical and easier conversion.
"British researchers at the Universities of Sussex and Sheffield are developing a computer model of a bee’s brain that they hope can help scientists better understand the brains of more-complex animals, such as humans, and perhaps power artificial intelligence systems for bee-like robots."
Perhaps bee-like robots. Or robots that function as bees do, where they perform mundane functions over and over for the good of society.

Well hell, if they want drones, lets have drones. Lets have Civilian drones!. We can follow the cops, feds, congressmen, celebrities, all from the safety and comfort of a computer terminal while a 1,000$ DIY drone snaps pictures, sends video, etc. We could do stuff like route police patrols on google maps, follow government drones around and see what they are up to. Drones could deliver pizza and chinese food, dry cleaning, heck, the sky really would be the limit !! Drones for everybody!!!!!

So it may be fine and dandy that my home PC is ultra secure when logging into my email. What about my phone, tablet, laptop or public computer?

Don't lie, no one uses Silverlight.
