Quantum cryptography is often touted as being perfectly secure. It is based on the principle that you cannot make measurements of a quantum system without disturbing it.
So, I guess the encryption system used here isn't really "quantum", since above doesn't apply, is it?
And this time, we didn't even need bunch of whale-like fish to warn us, giving us headaches and visions of burnt ghosts. (Yes, I saw that very episode last night, which is a bit scary.)
Well, a friend of mine, who is a writer/editor for a local magazine, bought a netbook exactly because he often needs to type lot of text, and the netbook allows him to do it anytime, anywhere, comfortably (that's what he says). He praises the ergonomics of his netbook.
This might offend many geeks, but I've recently found that with introduction of public waves, Google Wave can kind-of be used like the old usenet. You just need to search for "whatever you are looking for with:public" and you will find a few waves with quite lively ongoing discussion.
Of course, there is still space for lot of improvement there, but from the few discussions I have participated in, it has a similar vibe. Now all we need is for Goog to finish the protocol API, so 3rd party wave implementations can be written and the content can be federated over many nodes over the net.
There is no way a human being can be able to recognize the difference by words of god and man. And as you personally cant check the whole delivery chain from god to you yourself, god cannot demand that you find the words that are truly his.
This would be much easier if the said god bothered to digitally sign his words. Just saying.
Yeah, Quake on a 486 gave me impression that I'm in fact controlling a slow, bulky battle tank instead of a nimble marine.:) After running it on a Pentium, though, it got much, much snappier, and quickly became my favourite game for a few months. Even now, I sometimes launch fuhquake and have some deathmatch fun with omicronbots.
I guess I should have written that it's a national park, and also a protected area. Too bad it doesn't stop many visitors from littering all over it, but that's another topic.:(
Above post is a nice symptom of brokenness of/. moderation system. The system is meant to censor article content, so that I can browse at +1 without seeing idiotic stuff. Your request suggests the system is here to distribute karma (which is merely a side effect).

Wow, iphone users now brag that their beloved iphone doesn't have horrible flaws? Geez, talk about low standards.
I'm afraid you will have to wait about 20000 more years for that...

One anecdote contradicts another.

Yeah, and Topher Brink scored Summer Glau... for a few minutes, at least.
You're joking, but I actually have worked with a MBA type guy who thinks that if more people are involved, a server boots up faster after maintenance.
Right, hardware is only used on desktops. Servers run purely on love, goodwill and farts.

Its best if you loose you're anger.
You can't, because it's a national park.
Because (and I'm sure you knew about this) plural of 'anecdote' is not 'data'.
Damn you, you made me want to play HL2 again. A perfectly good next weekend shot to hell. Thanks a lot!
There are three flowers in a vase. The third flower is green.
You forgot to enclose the entire statement in:
if ($ProductName != "Windows") { ... }
Offtopic? Mods should really read GPL - I for one thought this post was funny.
Wow, is that Quake 2? That intro was very cool for its time.

Huh, I only download apps via wifi on my HTC Hero. Just as well, as I only have a 10MB/month data plan.
Not from weasels, though...
Not all updates are yummy...
Yeah, you just keep using that setup. Do not worry a thing, it's secure enough. Honest!
