Is that what normal laptop temps are supposed to look like!? I have a two- or three-year-old Pavilion with an AMD Athlon XP-M 2500+ that, when clocked down (500 MHz or so) idles at ~50 degrees. The minute it ramps the CPU to full speed, whether it's doing anything or not, the temp hits 70+. Try anything like running any 3D game or encoding a video and it'll hit 85 and lock up within about 20 minutes. Unless you're lucky. Is that 'normal' for this processor? Or is it too old for anyone to remember?;) Do I just chunk it and fork up the two grand?
Sweet. Free food and TV. And since we're already caught anyway, we might as well set up a LAN party! I'll sneak a mini hub in one of those silly putty skin pouches you see in spy movies.
the translation of the analog wireless signal to the USB-bus interface takes precious milliseconds.
And you think wired mice don't translate analog to digital? A wired mouse has to translate the signal to a USB-friendly format as well. Unless you're meaning the through-the-air travel time. I'm not going to say that it's comparable (I really don't know either way. Or care, for that matter.), but there's still a lag in a 3- or 4-foot wire. (As my last wired mouse had). In my setup, the mouse is only about a foot away from the wireless reciever. I don't know the math involved off the top of my head, but if I had to guess, I'd gain at least a little back from the loss of signal travel time going from wired to wireless.
intended to generate a laugh response, commonly known as "a joke" among the higher-level anthropoid species.
Ah. How ironic. So was mine.
I was, however, unaware of that specific Simpsons reference, seeing as how I have not nor currently do watch said television show. Thank you for that moment of cultural enlightenment.
He's not talking about the in-show politics. He's talking about suits sitting in Television studio board rooms making a show "accessable to as many people as possible.
If I were going to recommend it to my boss, I'd at least try to learn enough about it to know that the name was an acronym for "GNU Image Manipulation Program".
But there's the possibility that life in meteorites was just burned away traveling through the atmosphere at high speeds. I would assume that Stardust would have been designed to keep things from getting TOO hot, so those lifeforms that were previously burned away might possibly have more of a chance to make it to the surface unharmed.

That sounds like a country western song title.
My hero is a sandwich.
You can pretend you know about wired vs. wireless transmission technology all you want, but clearly you're talking out your ass.
Of course. I said as much. I really don't know either way. Or care, for that matter.

Interestingly enough, I expect BOTH glasses are poisoned, metaphorically speaking.
basket weaving is worthless ...
;)
Well, of course. UNDERWATER basket weaving is where it's at.
Yes, and the corporate machine part craves your soul.
Yes...umm..."scratching" his "head".
/. too much.
I've been reading
I think "Tony" and "the boys" would like to have a word with you...

It's the "Oh my God, it's Red!" crowd. Trust me.
Overclocking a vacuum cleaner!? Hey, if you don't want that wife anymore... ;)
I wish they could just resurrect shows on Cartoon Network. Unfortunately, that's impossible.
Fixed it for you, too.
Heck, while they're at it they might as well stick a quick game of Frogger afterwards.

Tea? I don't know about you, but it'd take illegal substances to make me think General Hospital was anything more than garbage.

Um, dude, I'm reasonably certain he was talking in general.
Now I'm hungry again!
Oh. Guess I thought faster than I read. Sorry.

Oh, you mean somthing like http://www.runescape.com/?
And does this mean that Linux and the BSDs blow the most?
You, sir, have blown my mind.
Wait...
