Oh. Heh. I suppose I misunderstood what you were talking about when you spoke of the "EA Games client". I was wondering how you would've gotten legal permission to giove away the client software. I'm against warez and the like (programmers deserve the money, in my opinion), but I really enjoy free stuff. Never mind, then.
100MNV01 is a folder you put it into, according to the site you linked. They mentioned calling a file M4V31337.MP4. Thus, the file would be E:\MP_ROOT\100MNV01\M4V31337.MP4
The PSP will win, unfortunately. It is the better machine.
Not to be a nay-sayer, but tell that to SNK, Sega, and Atari. The NeoGeo Pocket, Game Gear, and Lynx were all better than the Game Boy yet the Game Boy is the only one that's lived past its first generation. Sony has a climb if they hope to break the curse (if I may call it that). Even with the name recognition. I somehow doubt that your non-techsmart "soccer moms" (and dads...you know what I mean) will have a really good idea that the PSP is better. I have a feeling that they'll see "Game Boy" and grab it because they're familiar with the name. Initially, at least. But by the time they know the difference, it may be too late. Unless there's fewer of these people left than I think there are.
I honestly hope I'm wrong. I hope Sony stays around and gives Nintendo a run for their money, if only so Nintendo will get off their arses and actually come up with a winning a system against real competition, which I haven't seen them do since the SNES.
first: skyshock21- you're not sounding so impressive yourself. Troll.
Anyway, Kamalot, I just had to laugh at your calling the 8.3 naming system "special". That naming system has been in use longer than I've been alive.
I also find it interesting that
It's not a console system. It doesn't have a large television screen to fit thousands of pixels on, just a modest LCD Screen. Compared to what comparable systems there are (well, just the GBA as far as I know) the graphics are amazing.
Anyone who plays on a handheld gaming system for more than 5 hours at a time, needs to find something else to do.
I can agree with that, but those hours are approximately cumulative. Even if you spread the two or so hours over a week, you're still only going to get so many hours out of the batteries before they die.
No one has mentioned the PSP yet, and I was wondering whether those who have a DS (I don't) have found anything new that could influence the war between the DS and PSP that may be coming. is there any newfound info that could be important?
Makes it difficult to see it becoming more PIM or phonelike
You have to keep in mind that the developers weren't after a PDA or phone or what have you. They were after a gaming system. If they wanted a PDA, they'd have put work into that aspect. It's a game system, and as such it behaves as you expect it would. Picochat, etc. is a nice bonus, not the primary function.
There is a certain minimal skill and intelligence level required to simply operate and maintain a computer safely. Most people don't seem to want to get it
And they don't want to get it because they don't realize how important it is. With a car, people know that if a part is broken, it needs to be fixed or something bad will happen. They don't know how dangerous a "broken" program is.
Part of the problem is that there was never a "Model T" of computers, a computer that everyone had to know how to fix when it broke down. I can't think of one, anyway. The ones simple enough for the common person to learn how to use were too expensive. Once computers were available to everyone, they were too complicated for many people to learn how to program and work on, so people just trusted that they worked.
It doesn't help that a computer breaking down isn't a life-threatening issue. When you're life is at stake, you're more apt to learn why and take care of the danger.
Semantics, pure and simple. "Cosoles" refers to larger boxes like the Gamecube, even though handhelds could be considered a console in some senses of the word.
Not only that, but, according to the Terra nova page, it states in the wiki (I couldn't actually read it myself; it seems to have been/.ed):
"...a woman named Ashari, who stated that Malaki was a thief and a scoundrel. This latter came as no surprise, but what did was the fact that he had evidently stolen items from the royal family, including the Soul Jars, items which are said to bring good luck."
This character was definitely not going to have many scruples, especially with others' beliefs.
With the proper planning, could you use this to put a computer on a sheet of paper masked as a letter home? Imagine if spy agencies had some of this stuff...

Umm...Is there a reason you don't have a link for the client? I'm having trouble finding it.

Oh, and don't forget your copy of Klingon dictionary.
Klingon? Dang. I was wanting to learn D'ni: http://linguists.riedl.org/old/linguists.htm
Humor is lost...
Someone actually has the copyright to Pong? I would never have guessed that.
I would have to say he won. Regardless of what you said, he died defending your right to say it.
Thanks, but I keep getting a download error.
Now if only Firesomething would get updated...
N64 and GC both look...

Yeah. You'd want to have a web with each system connected with at least two other DSs in case one quit.

Well, I have personally seen http://www.legaltorrents.com/
I've not listened to all of it, but I love 8BitPeoples.

Following the links in the article is too much work, eh? /. effect.

Now that would be interesting... Perfigo All-vegetable network security, now with 0 grams of trans fat per serving!
