Far be it from me to promote music piracy, but I would love to see something like this happen, especially if the artists ended up making more from the pirates than actual sales.
I, for one, would be glad to donate such. Maybe someone could start a database of artist addresses.
Subs may be right for some people, but not others. I don't get very much new music; I've got nearly 20GB of music (downloaded, ripped from CDs) that keeps me pretty well satisfied, and if I join an online music store, I want to be able to keep that music if I leave. For me, buying per-song is the way to go, and eMusic has been keeping me pretty happy, even if they don't let me rollover songs.
Well, an 'aspiration' is a desire, a goal. You aspire to achieve your goals. So, I suppose being 'aspiratioinal' would mean that you have goals that you work toward.
As to whether the article used it correctly, well, then I'd actually have to read it.
Well, when you have 'user-friendly' distros like Ubuntu bringing new people in, then not necessarily. I personally haven't touched the kernel because I realize I would have no clue what I was doing.
Agreed. Microsoft is a many-headed beast, and not all of them are evil. Hopefully this is a start of Microsoft's turning from the dark side. (But then, with Darth Ballmer at the helm, Microsoft can only be so good.)
There's currently an open-source effort called Emerald Editor, which is based off of the released Crimson Editor source code. I don't think there's been any releases yet, but it may be something to watch.
What? Did you pay attention to your two examples there? The only reason the Vista install example was so much longer is because it went into excruciating detail. Just looking at it and paring it down to the level of detail shown in the Ubuntu example, Vista would be about 11 dialogs to Ubuntu's eight. And that's without Ubuntu's Live CD booting up and clicking "install" on its desktop. Not really that big of a difference.
Or Nina is a part of the Russian mob herself, really did take the company money, skipped town, and framed her 'death' on Hans. Well, I suppose she doesn't have to be in the mob to do all of that, I guess.

You kidding? We're turning this film all the way up to twelve.
But the awesome comic was what effected the cool map.
But will it work on my Phantom console once it ships?
Zeus was way cooler than Janus.
New operating system uses more resources than old operating system. People don't like change. The world is round.

I'd personally prefer if you didn't fork the project.
At the college I go to, the instructors list the ISBNs for all needed books in their Syllabi. Is that not done elsewhere?
Agreed. I got into computing because I wanted to work with awesome technology, not because I wanted to act like an old boring middle-manager or CEO.
Which I think is a lot of why many geeks are starting their own businesses and such.

No it doesn't. PowerDVD/WinDVD play DVDs out of the box.

Yes. It's walking over to the neighbor's mailbox and stealing their TV Guide.

I've always been fond of Crimson Editor. Tabs, syntax highlighting, and the ability to run compilers from a menu or shortcut.
If the ./er is one of the ones that happen to be well-trained engineers who are trained for this sort of work, then yes. That's what engineers do.

I wish I had a new car.
No? Dang, it's just you.
Have you looked into Ubuntu Studio? That would be what you are looking for, I believe.
Linus throws anecdotes. Gates throws money. Balmer throws chairs.
It comes from partisan politics. Washington was right all along, methinks.
Interestingly, I find that's a trait of most "answer people. I don't know whether that's a cause or effect, though.
