Also, the corporate shield is not magically impenetrable. If there's gross negligence, for instance, or fraud. Yes. If there's gross negligence or fraud, you might be required to have a corporate stooge commit suicide and leave a note taking full responsibility.

At least in my view, a point would be that the statue of limitations has passed in the most final fashion possible. Are you talking about the Venus de Milo (a limited statue if I ever saw one)? Or did you mean "statute of limitations"? Because the statutes of limitation for wrongful death are state-based, not federally-mandated. Anybody know what state the manufacturer is in?

Well, IANAT but it seems to me that an alternative explanation can also be offered. Schools have historically been hotbeds of radical thought and social experimentation. Might it not be that these terrorist engineers learned their radicalism in school? Since the two fields that people actually go to school for in the Middle East are medicine and engineering, this seems to me to be as reasonable an explanation as "those engineers' brains is just wired that way."

I don't know. I think Memento's forwards and backwards movie thing is brilliant, more so than putting in four commentary tracks which I won't listen to anyway...
