I personally take care of 1.3GB of personal, very important storage (read: porn). Once every two weeks or so I rsync to another physical computer. I don't believe there's any advantage to RAID over this. Sure, if my main server dies I've lost whatever's been collected in the last two weeks, but for me that's really a non-issue.
Actually, I'm a fan of listening to lugradio on my drive to work. If not that I usually just randomly switch through the Podcast Directory.
A couple more to wet your tongue would be to dig through archive and legal torrents.
Alternatively, I know you said you wish to save a bit of dough by doing it the freebie way, but I've gotta tell you Sirius is one hell of an offering.
I'm always amazed that the pirate's bay gets a pass. I thought I read that the swiss have passed a law banning giving away copyrighted materials, I check the website. There are two big American anti-warez operations I check the site they're still there. Those guys are godlike.
Well, I'm confused, how can they figure out the speed so easily, when it's so hard to test the difference in speed between x86 AMDs & Intels? The other computers aren't faster at some things? Is it some special bench?

From what I understand konqueror works as a 64 bit browser with 32 bit plugins due to it's use of DCOP.
