According to the site Bill's Big List of Firefox 2.0 Extensions, in only 40 days, the number of Firefox 2.0 compatible extensions has jumped from 677 extensions to 1449 extensions.
If this is in any way a reflection of the Firefox development community, it looks like the community is thriving pretty well.
I recently outsourced myself to Costa Rica and am enjoying it. Unlike the people in the article who work for companies in India, I do not work for any companies here in Costa Rica. The pay would be lousy. Instead I do the same software development work I did in California.
The Google Calendar doesn't let you embed your event calendar in your own website.
I like the WebPasties Calendar better because I can embed it in my own website and use colors for the calendar that complement my site's color scheme.
Or you can use a Virgin Islands tax loophole http://www.nysun.com/article/8885 and only be taxed on $5,000,000 rather than the $50,000,000.
Total taxes on that 50 Million dollars would be about $1.75 Mil
No matter how much better Firefox is than IE, if you develop web pages, you don't have a choice in the matter of whether you use IE.
With the IE market share right now you better test your web pages to make sure they work with IE. Otherwise, you are going to lose customers.
I look forward to using an IE that is more like Firefox. It won't make me switch from using Firefox as my principle browser, but it will make compatability testing easier.

Firefox is accepting feature submissions for Firefox 3.0. You might want to post your suggestion directly to them: http://arstechnica.com/news.ars/post/20061013-7986 .html
You might want to email the extensions author to update it for Firefox 2.0. It should be pretty trivial for them to do it.
No, those extensions haven't been absorbed into Firefox. Spell checking has been absorbed though.
Of course it is not on the list because Firesomething is not Firefox 2.0 compatible.

It looks to me like this is just a ripoff of WebPasties only with more numerous but simpler gadgets.

Seriously though, I currently have both an NSX and a Vespa GT.
I use the Vespa for most of my getting around town, and save my NSX for highway driving, rainy day driving, and the track.
What is surprising is that my Vespa is more of a babe magnet than my NSX.
This car was reasonably priced and had a top speed of 40 MPM rather than 30 MPH like most electric cars out there.
In addition I liked that the thing was so darn ugly it was cute.
There you will be guided with baby steps on how to implement a city, state lookup based on zip.
