I haven't had much chance to work with the new version of Fusion, but it's definitely production-capable - I believe the bulk of compositing for the recent Poseidon Adventure remake was done with it. Not to mention many other feature credits, none of which I can be bothered looking up right now, and the excellent BSG was, and is being, done with Fusion 5.
It had a major rewrite with version 5, including a huge scripting overhaul, and a full 3D subsystem.
A friend of mine had a cat with a litter of kittens. He was watching them one day, with the cat on one side of the room and the kittens on the other. The cat made an odd miaow, and one of the kittens got up, crossed the room and recieved a grooming. The cat made a different miaow, and another kitten crossed the room to be cleaned. Same for the rest of the litter. My friend observed this a number of times and was able to replicate the individual miaows to call individual kittens. So it seems even cats can have and use individual names.
Sorry, I didn't realise that David wrestled Goliath. Isn't the point of that story that god told David to be sneaky and avoid wrestling at all costs if he wanted to win? If he had wrestled, that could have been far more interesting.
Question - how does a butt-reaming asshole get to be a father? Indeed, how does an asshole butt-ream? I, admitedly as a/. reader, am under the impression that fatherhood had some mandatory conditions, not one of which involves the anus.
Close your eyes, and imagine a world where people exaggerate for comic and dramatic effect. You live in the US? Close your eyes and imagine a place that isn't the US. Oh, forget it.
Thanks for the "overblown rhetoric", AC, but you might want to reparse my second sentence there.
My point was about national sovereignty, but if you're from the US of A you might have missed that bit.
Also, I'm unaware of any hippies, screeching or otherwise, having been bulldozed into mass graves in Tibet. Or Saudi Arabia for that matter. If you have better information in this regard, please share.
Within the US, maybe you'll remember, there have been a number of occasions, probably most famously Chicago 1968, when the authorities have in fact gassed, beaten and shot 'hippies', so maybe you should leave the high horse routine alone, for now.
And next time, please refrain from shrill paranoiac hyperbole, it rarely (if ever) improves an argument.
99.9% of Americans unaffected?
That leaves 0.1% affected.
That seems like a moderately hysterical response, when you think that that number cannot help but grow.
American population: 294,000,000
9/11 casualties: 2,800
That's.001% affected. 2 orders of magnitude difference on growing, which is shameful, considering that with a halfway intelligent foreign policy the "terrorist problem" wouldn't exist at all.
Flame on.
Even if he was convicted of a felony, he may still have the right to vote. A felony conviction does not represent an automatic across the board loss of voting rights, but rather it is determined on a state by state basis.
If it were me, I would move to a marginal state where I had no criminal record, and make my vote count.
From the DOJ website:
"The right to vote is an important civil right in a democracy as well as a civic responsibility, and yet many persons who have been convicted of a crime do not know whether they are eligible to vote. For both federal and state elections, the right to vote is controlled by the law of the state in which you live. Some states restrict the right to vote for persons who have been convicted of a crime. This pamphlet is intended to help you determine whether you are eligible to vote in the state in which you live, and if so, what steps you must take to be permitted to vote.
What law governs whether my felony conviction limits my right to vote?
The impact of a criminal conviction on the right to vote varies widely from state to state. Whether you can vote after being convicted of a crime is determined by the state in which you live, not the state in which you were convicted.
Can I vote while I am incarcerated in Florida?
If you are a resident of Florida, and you have been convicted of a felony by any court, you cannot vote while you are incarcerated.
If you are a resident of another state who is temporarily incarcerated in Florida, you may be able to vote an absentee ballot for your home state. Consult the law of your home state regarding both criminal convictions and absentee ballots to see if this is a possibility.
I have been released from incarceration. How do I restore my right to vote?
In Florida, your civil rights, including your right to vote, are suspended when you are convicted of a felony. You may have your civil rights restored by obtaining a full pardon, conditional pardon, or restoration of civil rights from the Governor of Florida.
What if my conviction was for a federal crime?
If you were convicted of a federal crime that would be a felony in the state of Florida, you may not vote in Florida unless your civil rights have been restored. A felony is any criminal offense that if committed in Florida would be punishable under the laws of Florida by death or imprisonment in the state penitentiary. The Governor of Florida cannot issue a pardon for a federal crime, but he can restore your Florida voting rights.
What if I was convicted in another state?
The same rules apply for Florida voters even if the conviction occurred in another state. If you were convicted of a crime that would be a felony in the state of Florida, you may not vote in Florida unless your civil rights have been restored. The Governor of Florida cannot issue a pardon for a conviction from another state's court, but he can restore your Florida voting rights."
Sexually bigoted? You clearly don't know our government.
Seriously, though, how the hell do you get 'sexually bigoted' out of being forced into a subservient position and having something (anything!) rammed down your throat?
The humour, on the off chance you didn't get it, comes from the ambiguity of the set-up, and letting the reader's imagination, presuming they have one, find an image to suit the implication.
I live here in Australia (not Austria, in case you were wondering) and there's a strong element of you-have-to-laugh-or-else-you'd-cry about it. Besides which, I've done that test-your-politics quiz thing, and I come out somewhere on the liberal left of Ghandi.
I think what you're after is a Burmese- they don't fetch (that I know of), but they will play hide and seek, and tag. I knew one that lived on a boat and enjoyed the occasional swim.
Also, if you read the sidebar in the article, you'd notice that cats already have fluorescent urine

Maybe not, but it was *their* totalitarian theocratic regime.
Imagine how people would feel if the Chinese tried to overthrow the totalitarian theocratic regime in Saudi Arabia, or the United States...
what are they going to call this baby? Goethe?

I was going to say that when the Powers That Be in the US say "jump" the Australian 'government' asks "how high?", but
a) you can't jump when you're kneeling,
and
b) you can't ask questions with your mouth full.
I thought in the US it was driven by Mickey Mouse! (strictly w/ respect to copyright, of course ;^)
the trend will be for IP treaties to favor the longest term copyright of any of the participating states.
