Once I received 140% on a chemistry test. It was taken in groups of four, and had 160 questions. She dropped 20 of the questions and then curved it. Our test had to be placed outside the curve, or else everyone else would have gotten a maximum of a C. The rest of that quarter I had to do almost no work.

Disclaimer: I am an avid OS X and Linux user, and a win32 netadmin

If you tried to plug in a Linux box to my network, unless I installed it, it would not get an IP. Plain and simple, if you aren't running the systems the sysadmin or I install, you don't get network access. Too risky. If you want to run Linux, you can come to me, and I will install a distro that has been locked down, but otherwise, no way. I have seen bad shit happen.

The fact you have HTML in a separate file from the code is not sufficient for full separation. You should be able to entirely drop the web interface and instead write, say, a GTK or commandline app, without changing any of the backend code.

I am going to let you in on a huge secret. Rails is a WEB APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT SUITE. A GTK application is not designed to be run in a web browser, and is not designed to be served up, and used on many machines at once. I am sure that if you wanted to though, you could write an add-on to actionsupport and allow it to be a GTK app using the proper Ruby Librarys
