I'm not sure this is how pecking birds work but if it isn't there is probably a pecking bird geek in the crowd who will correct me.
Well, as a matter of fact, they need to dip into water.
Typically, older birds are filled with freon-11, or most modern ones with methylene chloride, in a liquid/vapor mix. They operate mainly by having the water soaking their heads evaporate. This changes the temperature of the refrigerant, causing it to change density (some turns from vapor to liquid) and alter the balance of the bird. Without a water supply to replenish the system, it would soon no longer be able to "peck" at the submit key.
It's basically a heat engine, and you've removed the temperature differential.
To play devil's advocate here, a tiger represents millions of years of predatory evolution, yet we can still hunt it to extinction. Just because nature's been doing this a lot longer then we have doesn't mean its aims are the same as ours.
When you're talking about evolution on the scale of millions of years, there's a selective pressure not to kill everything else around you. GE crops have no such incentive, and could quite possibly be extremely hard on the soil. Planting crops without regard to the needs of the soil is what led to the dust bowl.
Of course, it's more than likely anything we create will be able to perform its intended function fairly well, but be utterly unable to cope with any other situation and quickly die out. I don't imagine we'd create anything highly adaptable, that's nature's thing.
A maxi-series is a TV series that will last for more than 1 season and have a definitive end point.
I know this is a terrible thing to say, but you may find that you'd enjoy Anime. Anime typically has a consistent, overarching storyline. A lot of it really is trash, like most TV, so watch out. Try Samurai Champloo or FLCL for good starters. Cowboy Bebop is also quite good, but shows its age.
Well, when I watched 100 MB movies (sized for Zip disks, I guess) from DALnet in the mid 90's, the better quality stuff was actually pushing my old system. By the mid 00's, the quality of movies had risen to the point where I doubt they'd play at all on my old system. Now, with 19 GB BD quality flicks out there, my 3 year old AMD 64X2 4200+ is already dropping frames, even with a Radeon 4800 series.
I really don't expect this practically exponential increase to just magically level off in the next few years, especially with 3D features coming out these days.
If this is all plausible, why won't Apple support Theora? I think the argument Javilon is making is that Apple won't want to back VP8 for the same reason it won't back Theora, whatever unknown reason that is.
Ya, it would have been nice to see Bing come out as a good competitor to Google, competition really does push everyone to improve... sucks that it had to die...
Oh, you meant the Courier? Ya, that thing was cool.
I chose not to argue because it is irrelevant. I am choosing to extend that to the remainder of your talking points. I'm sorry, but I'm really done here. Allow me to forward you to a place better suiting your needs.
I'm not going to go further into your "grammar" issue as it is not relevant.
As for your single, anecdotal example, that isn't creating second class citizens because people are unable to meet certain criteria or are willfully and maliciously denied licenses. That's people who actively chose not to meet the requirements of a private seller, and were denied access to their private goods. Maybe you should take your business elsewhere.

No, no, this article is about the famous blues guitarist Michael Mann, better known as Hollywood Fats. Easy mistake.

Is that a 2 MBps MKV? No? Well then, seems like 1080p isn't always 1080p.
...a bare-metal restore is the only way to be sure.
That, or nuking it from orbit.
Wait, what was the question?
Try Justin.TV. You can watch all kinds of TV channels, I watched the Derby live today here.

I knew a guy who used to watch ESPN stuff live over the internet back in 2003. I don't know if that still exists, but I'd imagine it's possible.
Ha! Now you know how us Americans feel about elections! Take that!
And will I have to update my firmware to get the DRM to work?
Then you may find this interesting...
No, no, no... it's like a black fly in your chardonnay.
Um... Bender would think otherwise...
I had an old QXGA (2048×1536) CRT that was 20", got it for about $150-200. It had VGA and a component BNC input, I think it was for medical use.
Still not ironic.
I believe this was also true in the 3D specification argument, and in pushing DVD originally.

That site is awesome... I didn't know things were so rough in India, it's crazy.
Who would have modded that recursive?

Yes, well... just because I'm totally and completely wrong doesn't mean that... um... shuddup with your right-ness, that's what!
Hush you... stop poking holes in my completely invalid argument, that's not fair!
