Ok, I read the article, but I just not sure about one thing. Do they really expect people to buy and drink this stuff??

Im all for recycling, but that is a mental hurdle that I doubt people will be able to overcome.

  3. Software Prices on Software Piracy Due to Expensive Hardware, Says Ballmer · · Score: 0

I myself can't even concieve of spending more than 50$ on ANY software title for my personal use. I don't even like to spend that, because chances are that I'm going to use it to accomplish a specific task, then stop using it.

If a company I work for needs a piece of software though, I certainly think that the proper licenses should be purchased. So they have to keep the prices high so that businesses make up what they lose to personal users copying the software. But it's also those high prices that will keep me from purchasing it for my own use.

    Just another vicious cycle...

One of the easy reasons for Anti-Virus companies to release their own viruses, is so that they can claim they are the first one with a signature that will detect it. Which means you should buy their product instead of someone elses.

Well, that's what they think it means anyway.

  7. Trend Micro working on it. on Spyware/Adware Prevention In Large Deployments? · · Score: 1

I was at a conference about 4 months ago, and a representative from Trend Micro was there. He stated that they already have implemented some spyware detection in their Enterprise Desktop Product, and they were going to be focusing more on it in the near future. Of course, those guys will tell you anything to get a sale, but it might be worth checking out.
