yeah and high ping bastards have an advantage.... great... that is why i hate the source netcode.
anywhere around the world ppl started to get better internet connections.... (56k died out.) but valve decided to make the game playable for those suckers that had to keep a 56k modem.
you missed germany. well germany lags a bit behind the others but in my area (complete state) there is 100mbit available even upstate...........
kabel deutschland (providing coverage for most of the other states is in the progress of making 100mbit+ available. lots of isps in bigger cities have 100mbit pipes as well...)
"Because of things like that, the rest of the World put all US citizens (including the good ones) in the same basket and call them assholes."
ummmmm, no that is not the reason..................
i am running around with 100mbit/s (flat) on cable with landline flat and tv stuff.... 50 bucks/month.
and then i rofl when usfags pay up to 150 bucks for tv+internet and internet being some crappy crapcast with something x-mbit/s.....
i have setup a few linux install "CDs" for network install, a few live CDs for an emergency OS. LTSP is using it too and a small intel atom box gets its kernel over tftp/pxe... the pxe provides the parameters for the nfsroot mount. old win2k netinstall for ppl without a RIS uses that system too:) the tftpd box that provides all that stuff is a small amd geode that is normally my router:)
i often thought about making a sourceforge project out of it....:)
the issue with microsoft is was the IE story and somewhat governmental. the companies complaining about google/youtube are not governmental.
the cloud shit has little to do with that. it is 'just' youtube and its ginormous traffic amount....
google was just smart by becoming an ISP and having a connection at certain locations. not my problem that the business of traffic to another provider is such a retarded one. tough shit for the other providers, i paid to use google and youtube... stop complaining!
you dont need an internet connection when you like to play singleplayer games. you need one though when you want to do the same for playing it on onlive. so cut out the isp costs....
i have no issue with embedded ads that are not annoying in fact i am more likely to click an ad that does not annoy me:)
but those that open new windows or have something on top of the page... -> do not want. well usually those ads are on pages i wont visit anyway because of worthlessness ^^
there should be a html tag content this way i could allow adblocker to allow those ads...
too bad it would be abused the second it is on the market making it ad absurdum.:(
e?
nobody. it is annoying an makes no real sense anymore since games are published on the console 6months prior the pc release. some even never see a PC port....
having a high performance gaming rig will result in a high performance electricity bill too. why bother paying for high performance parts (electricity) when your pc is idling like 95% of the time, especially the vga card...?
the male friends are real friends because they cover the ass of their friend that is supposedly in the bathroom of each of the 5 friend's. where at the same time the chicks dont do that for their female friend.
amd geode is really slow but takes about 5 - 10 watts. i use it as a router and want to put more stuff on it soon.
intel atom takes up to 40 watts iirc but is kinda fast compared to amd geode. also there is a big variety of boards out there. some are shipped with a pci-e16x slot - you could add a raid controller or something like that...
also the atom boards with the nvidia ION brand can do HDTV playback - so it would also be applicable as a media center...

just activate multicast and be done with that topic? oh wait that would allow anyone to stream............

i thought the same thing. information gathering... maybe some passwords....

it says may be allowed.
any sane manufacturer would not do that.
i would mind it!

"We're still handling IPv4 requests from ISPs, hosting companies and large users for IPv4 address space, but that's a very short time period.'"
duh oh rly? quite obvious...
that is true, but in this situation productive environment vs. testing train is also relevant. more relevant than the testing part.
i use spf and DKIM. works fine :) well it is a low traffic domain :)
the bigger issue will be ppl that forward all their shit to other mailboxes... it is always "great" to see lots of it being rejected due "spam"
disable forward - enable pop3 fetch.
you have to get up there first.... and to get up there - a single slingshoot or styrofoam will be enough to get the vessel blasted...
agreed

a standard grocery store pizza is too small for adequate sized 1/8th slices.

i would collect old used condoms and sell them on ebay.
just to laugh at the stupid masses that think they have some sort connection to me with the help of said condoms...
ridiculous this world is.

from other articles i read it was stated that IE is still in the w7 eu version but not activated, since it is also there deeply in the system...
