Ok, is it just me, or is the current state of technology just getting more and more stupid? Oh wow, a DVD has a RFID chip in it, this is really going to help DRM!
Has it not occured to anyone that there will be DVD players that will play anything, just like region-free players? Or the fact that pirates, wheilding their shiny swords and wearing their funny hats will find a way around this?
I go down to the local electronics store all the time, and the difference between CRT and LCD/Plasma is seen quite clearly. In fact, the best picture comes from the projectors, which are by far the best price.
After pouring over the page, I think they have left out the most important thing: what the code is to use it. I went through the code at bottom, and because I suck at programming, didnt get a word of it...
Although this is great for the prospective buyer who simply doesnt like the EULA, it is also a blow for others. Why? because Adobe, Symantec and microsoft are now going to have to implement greater security measures to keep out piraters.
Or, if they are smart:
They could create a program for these retailers, where they would enter the product's serial number, and it would instantly check if that product had been regestered, hence installed. This would be easy for M$, seeming as how they already keep tracks on each product key issued.
Well then, if all said is true, then I somehow must find a way to hook a USB 2.0 port into my body!
Now, if I put the power wires here, and the data wires here...
Heh, I remember how Apple made panels for overhead projectors once, back in like 1995. We had one at our school and I got to use it several times. Great display back then, I could only wonder how good it is now.
Is it really that time again for another antitrust lawsuit against Microsoft? Geez, at the rate they are piling in, Microsoft might as get out while the gettings good.
Not that many people here would mind...
Odviously this is aimed at the average american, as all the IT people and geeks out there already know this. But tell me, what average user is auctually going to take the time to read this?
I think I would be inclined to wrap one of these phones in Tin Foil when not in use, as I wouldn't want to be paying for someone's $200 grocery bill...

This is almost as bad as what the NYT did to Adrian Lamo, getting people in shit for trying to help them. What is this world coming to?

I was refering to standard AOL service, but ya, the comment summs up AOL entirely.

Tell me, with their slow speeds and crappy service, not to mention the horrid dialer program, who would WANT to be on AOL anyway?
