the pandemics are happening now: the resistant TBC, hepatitis C, MRSA, malaria and probably a few others I have not heard about yet, but the bird flu will not happen: it's a matter of biochemistry
the fatal pandemic failed to take place, it's time to make public the imaginary plan of action to counter the failed pandemic... how about the plans to respond to aliens dropping KEWs on Earth ?
There's NO form of engagement today, that would not have been considered an atrocity 90 years ago, or a war crime, 35-50 years back.
you must be behind with your history reading, 90 years ago mortality rates of 50% among prisoners were cool, nobody gave a f....g f..k over shelling a village, shooting civilians happened by default not as an exception, and taking all the food from the civilians while armies moved about
oh, that is simple. It's all about rationing: you don't want to have young men in their 20s blowing themselves up in the hope they will get sex at least in the after-world.
the LGBT were angry about not being allowed to sign a contract covering what everybody else had covered (such as inheritance, common properties, pensions etc.), not about the provisions for polygamy or polyandry, and not about legal provisions for whom they can choose as sex partners, that was fixed a few years ago.
why would they bother with Earth ? Deep gravity well, close to the sun and plagued with solar flares, full of microbes... Pluto with all the frozen gases or the asteroid belt would be much more appealing.
you mean I cannot pay github or other hosting company to keep my files ? you mean a company that writes software for others cannot use the enterprise offering from github ?
yes, you can set up your own private svn/git/whatever server and browser and fake the commit dates, but spoofing github or bitbucket or sourceforge would be a lot more difficult, and would not fool many
will not help with changing what already happened, but for the future put your work on github or some other similar service, keep the project private, then you can use that to prove precedence.
the test results does not have to be a smooth curve, poisson or otherwise
for example there are 10 questions and you get a number of points if you answer a question right, or you get none if you do not. If the number of points you get for answering each of those questions are not the same, the curve will not look smooth and there will be gaps.
the jagged lines do not indicate cheating, at most poorly designed exam questions
back in the early 90 MySQL and Postgresql did not exist

no, I will not mock earthquake planning, but a disease passing from birds to humans I will mock any day, and the same for fearmongering

Renewables are doing so well in Germany that their neighbours have cut the German grid out, got tired of seeing their transformers burn: http://www.praguepost.com/news/15258-region-german-green-energy-push-needs-a-rethink.html
and German companies are moving to inhouse power generation because they can't take the losses caused by power fluctuations: http://www.spiegel.de/international/germany/instability-in-power-grid-comes-at-high-cost-for-german-industry-a-850419.html
the multitasking sample got the lower scores, not the laptop using sample as a whole
But half were also asked to complete a series of unrelated tasks on their computers when they felt they could spare some time.
just don't feed those chicken for a day, they'll plow the field better than the two oxen
get your helpful gnome back ;)

modded "overrated" by mistake, undoing it ...
polygamy was legal in USA ?
having sex out of wedlock with multiple partners is not polygamy
Card is half right, the government should not be marrying anyone -- straight or gay.
+1 damn right

unless you follow the deviation of restricting yourself to just one partner, you go to prison in most countries.
Not really, only if you sign a contract in which you promise exclusivity to at least one partner.
Up until late 19th century, the age of sexual/marriage majority matched being a biological adult.
Up until late 19th century the marriage was a civil contract, drafted by lawyers, which was about income and assets, not about sex.

so you cannot keep those files on computers hosted in a datacenter owned by somebody else, which is exactly what the enterprise offer from github ?

not public, keep the project private and show the details only if there is need
you have commit dates, if the change copyright on your file is newer, there is your proof
you also have the commit history, better proof than anything, unless they suspect you faked hundreds of commits and bug fixes
will not help with changing what already happened, but for the future put your work on github or some other similar service, keep the project private, then you can use that to prove precedence.
you have to prove that there is no solution execept when a,b and c have a common factor
much simpler, though maybe not easier, to try to dissaprove it ... is this a good job for OpenCL ?

yes, the game engine, write once then compile for Windows, Mac or Linux ... no webclient so far
