as if the Russians and the Chinese don't have their own plans for Iran:)
They're in big trouble any way you cut it, and the nukes they work on can sent in any direction. I seem to remember that when the Afghanistan campaign was being planned Iran was exceedingly cooperative:) and friendly.
Yeah, Iran is going to burnout a few excellent engineers while reverse engineering obsolete hardware, then will go bankrupt building drones or planes based on the tech recovered.
in fact it's like leaving a very expensive and not very useful camera on your neighbors porch, then pretending you care about it and want it back when the envious neighbor threatens to bankrupt himself with buying or building more of the same model
if US wants to have Iran begging for mercy (and money) should just lose the plans for an aircraft carrier or for a F-35 somewhere an Iranian diplomat can find it.
or maybe Canada is tired of financing the CC intermediaries
if Canada sticks to this I'll add July 1 in my calendar, and... I don't know, give up meat or video games that day... November 11 already there since Poland blocked the EU patent regulations.
too bad you did not sign, would have followed your posts:)
Green is the color of blackmail: two years ago Bulgaria, already at some 40% of its Kyoto quota, got it's carbon emissions quota lowered even further and was forbidden from buying carbon credits or selling them (yes, EU functions that way), while other countries were allowed to buy more, even if they're way above their cc and show no sign of slowing down.
or rather "green is the color of bullshit": all the "green" NGOs are massively financed from government or corporate money.
yes, the earth cares only about the total amount of CO2 released, because for hundreds of millions of years the C in CO2 was trapped underground, starving the biosphere...
Not all flint is good for cutting tools, most is pretty poor.
During the Neolithic high quality flint was traded over hundreds of miles, though color and shape of intrusions were probably praised more than the quality of the edge.
Flint is brittle and will lose the age after a few meters of cut, but until then it makes very clean cuts.
"Actually, most scientists agree"-d that the earth is flat, that bad air causes malaria, that flogiston is behind fire, animal magnetism technology is the way to go in medicine and stomach ulcers are caused by stress
add this: 7. Apple customers have larger disposable incomes: they can afford to splurge extra money on music; the rest just got other mp3 players that did not check for DRM, were not status symbols, but just played music. Had one myself the size of an USB-stick, 256 MB storage, very good sound and made in Europe.

2 degrees will not allow Canada to become a banana producer ... they'll only be able to grow bigger potatoes.

Samsung Galaxy GT-i5500 ... no UI lag
if it must be PHP, then CodeIgniter or Kohana
Limonade ( http://www.limonade-php.net/ ) is worth a look, too
if Perl is an option, check the thousand pounds gorilla called Catalyst, or the saner but weirdly named Mojolicious.
I'm using Plack on Perl, Plack middleware and custom micro-frameworks whenever the choice is up to me, though.

so, Mr. Clete did not die, but moved to Germany ? ... just in case: T.Pratchett, Discworld series, "Soul Music", secretary of the Musicians' Guild
mmm, you might be right, I thought it was only an oxymoron
the government would tax the auditors, then ... plenty of them
... it causes death 100% of the time
cryptkeeper; works like a charm on linux
yeah, the vikings were planting potatoes (who thrive in colder climates)
no, just have documented farming in Greenland ... unless the vikings were farming ice lichens or something ...
which scientists ? climate scientists, or historians for which the MWP is a pretty established fact ?
It works fine when trying to determine policy. Don't mix science into this.
as far as I know, the CLOUD experiment is not over yet, but I might be wrong about that too ...
the point is: "majority" arguments don't work with science.
invalid argument; you're trying to outlaw water, not prevent floods.
Only fast growing plants need larger amounts of CO2, but they are restricted by the amount of sunlight they receive.
and what are those fast growing plants using sunlight for ?

"most scientists agree", but only one is needed to prove them wrong http://user.web.cern.ch/public/en/Research/CLOUD-en.html
