    Money has an intrinsic value in the real world. Namely, that other people will give you goods and services in exchange for it.
    That's self contradictory. Intrinsic value has nothing to do with the value as a medium of exchange. A sandwich has intrinsic value, as it is directly useful in filling a need. Money doesn't since it's only use is as a means of obtaining the sandwich.

    The drivers are highly complex and extremely difficult to write and maintain because it is hard (almost impossible) to get the specifications of the corresponding devices. If the specs were open, maintaining the drivers would be much easier.
    Much easer is realative. Kudos to the guys who manage to do it, and yah-boo-sucks to the manufacturers, I say.

    I reasoned that the BBC's website probably wouldn't be heavily flooded with North American traffic, and that it would be the middle of the night on that side of the pond.
    The 9/11 attacks happened in the morning (local time), which is early afternoon in the UK.
