I recently ordered the enhanced DSL package from swbell, and not only did the woman I talk to have a clue, we actually conversed about distro's. The hardest part of the install process was convincing them that I didn't need a tech to come out and tell me that everything was working.
Perhaps the problem was with that particular tech?
Excuse me, but WTF are you smoking? Do you expect ISPs to filter email for sircam, or block sircam-sending IPs, or... precisely what exactly?
Of the two ISP's I've had to deal with re: sircam
bullshit: Both responded within 30 minutes of my
phone call. Particular credit to nethawaii.net
for disabling the account until the user could
remove the virus.
I would think that it would be easier to disable
offending accounts than it would be to stay on the
phone all night dealing with calls from irate people
that *aren't* their customers.
Why not just put Subgenius?
Believe whatever you want, and for only 30 bucks US, you won't be pink to Bob. That's important when the saucers land and you want your reserved seat.
"An effective religion has to engage people within their lives, offering ways to address their real issues, not just a bunch of supernatural garbage that they can't relate to (light sabers? where?)."
Yes, that's why they should pay their $30 bucks to the Church of the Subgenius, and relax, knowing full well that when the pleasure saucers come on X-Day, they won't be pink to Bob.
the problem is, usenet is still too hard to use. Deja makes it easier to use for a lot of us. I'm glad their back and I'd even be
willing to pay for a service that makes usenet easier ot use and understand
How exactly is usenet too hard to use? I can perhaps see where slrn wouldn't be that easy to set up for a complete newbie, but it's almost too easy from Netscape, Free Agent, & Outlook.
I'm happy deja is looking more like it used to, but I expect it will become a pay service in the near future. Until they bring back *all* the archives, it won't be worth paying for.
I'd love to try Evolution, but my computer isn't powerful enough to run Linux and GNOME.
Some of us don't have 1GHz/256MB computers.
Runs fine on my P166/128MB computer. For that matter, I've also got it running on a P233 with 48MB, but it's sloooow there.

I think you meant engrish.com.
HTH.

I like to game, really. I'm too fucking lazy to install wine, and I refuse to have M$ anything on my home box.
Why does noone come up with linux games?
I don't see anyone screaming that games must be GPLed. Shit, release it executable only.
More linux games for linux users. Let the rest of the gaming world catch up for a change.

some of the sugar found in the heavens.
If nothing else, the water, the sugar and the red dirt should combine to make some serious Kool-Aid(tm).
