Well great. We've got in our hands the most destructive force in the universe, and we're playing with it. I hope we survive long enough so I can buy a "Anti-wrinkle black hole" for my wife some day. Or maybe a "Tonka Wormhole" toy for my kid. I don't even want to know what Barbie and barbie toys they come out with.
This technology is not a toy. May cause suffocation, asphyxiation, paralysis and may crunch you into a singulatity if you stand to close when in "action" mode.
And I can finally move into my own house too! And with all of the money not spent on rent, I can get a computer that's just a little faster than this 286!
This sounds like the building process from the Jetsons. Maybe now we can move on from the trailer homes, manufactured homes and traditional building and move onto "Ziplock Construction Co."
It would make a lot more sense if they dropped it completely. They're doing that alchemy thing, where you turn lead into gold. Or... at least they're trying to. Noone's ever been able to turn lead into gold. Especially not Nokia.
Oh great. I've been around since the first month? that it opened and now they go public, after being so exclusive. But I still had 40,000 invitations left!:(
350m polygons is god damned amazing. I'm sure the kids at Havok will find good ways to implement this, and I'm sure Abit, Biostar, etc will too. I wonder how long it will take for them to make a PCI card you can put in as a graphics-card-booster... or maybe even USB? This technology is extremely exciting. It would definitely lessen the load off of g-cards, and drastically improve the framerate.
Well, at least Firefox isn't getting rubbed out. Nor Opera or Netscape. IE is still the problem here. If it weren't for Mr. Gates and his Swiss-cheese programs, I'm sure that IE would be fine when you're not even using the damned thing.
This technology sounds wonderful, but at the same time dangerous. You could have some extremely potent monitoring devices with this thing: Cameras that can record for weeks or months, microphones can record for years, etc. Then again, the practical uses sound great, our ram is going to be forever changed, and I wont need to sweat over 1gb.
But then you'd have a Diablo II type problem where people would start duping the gold, and the game would start having D2 type problems where people get banned all day long. I'm only being practical.
But seeing how anyone can grow it, and how most people can sell and smoke under the radar as it is, there's no gauruntee that the government would still be able to keep a hand in on it.
I think that this battle they're fighting is along the same lines as the pro-marijuana/anti-marijuana arguements in the States. The government (Blizzard) can't make any of their own money off of the sale of bud (gold) and so they outlaw the sale. It's ridiculous if you ask me (I'm not a potsmoker nor a gold-dealer), but Blizzard should let it happen because it attracts people to the game.
I'll take 3. I wonder how much this service is per month? And I wonder what the distance is on this deal, if it's like DSL (a short range) or if it's like dialup with its virtually infinite distance.
Of course. It's too much hassle to sign a receipt and mail it to the company and wait a few weeks, in which they'll most likely forget all about the whole thing, and get a surprize $30 in the mail. Laziness costs more than cigarettes these days.
Oh this is great. So some AOL wank can use the pictures of my nude ex-gf that I'm sending to a pal for whatever he wants? I think I'll stick to the string and can, thank you.
Well... this isn't all too surprizing, because lately that I've been experiencing Windows-Is-Down Syndrome, I've been thinking of installing a copy of Windows on my thumbdrive (256). Or maybe the compactflash card for my camera (512). Both of these are available for use when installing Windows, and it doesn't sound like that bad of an idea now that I sit and read this article about someone using an infernal iPod as a bootdisc.
Personally, I was thinking that you'd mention the thousands of pussies and boobs on the SCREENS of the men. Just a thought...
Too lazy to provide links...

How often is it though that you see an actual vagina-and-boobs bearing person in the IT field? Their scarcity may be scaring them off (No pun intended). It's simply a male-dominating field, considering some studies have shown that males have better grasps on logic and reason than woman, who tend to think more emotionally. That's obviously not the case with ALL women (See: Hilary Clinton) though, and I shouldn't be taken stereotypically.
Much like consoles though, I'm sure the modding community that most every game has is going to be quite upset with this new development. Most people, including me, like to tweak, mod, screw around, and mainly just play with stuff... which is why I personally never liked consoles. This might turn into a piracy problem too, because now it's going to be easier to redistribute games.
I honestly don't see ANY reason to ever watch Fox networks. Not even for Episode 3 trailers. Unless of course, they flash Natalie Portman's boobs. Then there would be a reason.
And a solid day wasted on Halo and Chex-mix along with that beer. (The broken heart thing was my sig)

That's what I think I got out of that too. I'm only asking myself why would he ask if he hasn't been using it for years?

Umm... I meant Havok mixing it into the works of their engine. Tool.

Watch out, Google might fire someone for these style blogs too!

Moreso than sleep.

And to think. A week ago, I was saying that HP should be sticking to printers. This technology could let me play Tetris without being plugged in!
