Add in TV censorship, put out a few press releases about how many children have been saved... everything is happiness and smiles. What an awesome government we've elected!
Two parties? Apologies, maybe it's the distance, but from over here in Europe it looks like the US has only one party with two slightly differing wings.
Seriously. If the main problem for the moderator in a political debate is to find some kind of tiny semantic difference in the position of the two biggest candidates, you know something is not going right.
They should really be paying extra for all the problems caused by their nasty god...
God created all the diseases in the world and refuses to cure people even when prayed over (even though a cure is constitutionally guaranteed in The Bible - John 14:14).
Absolutely not! TSA agents are mostly people who couldn't pass the US Postal Carrier exam. Several people I knew who were not "bulbworthy" were getting jobs at the TSA shortly after 9/11. They have a very low bar for entry.
It's not their fault. TSA agents are just pawns in the game of life.
OTOH the "free trial" it might induce some people to buy the DVDs or a T-shirt. That's also unquantifiable, but all independent research shows it's more than the number you're worrying about.
Yep. Is there a legal way for me to send the Game Of Thrones people some money just because I feel like it?
All they need to do is set up a paypal account or whatever and display it at the end of each episode. Don't they feel they're missing out by not doing that...?
It's CRIMINALLY STUPID for the USB port to provide any other kind of access by default.

The "classical music" alternative is far more civilised.
Oh, you and your ear-preserving music...
A better way would be for every town to put some heavy metal, old mattresses and free soda out in a disused quarry somewhere and just let them get on with it.
It costs very little and keeps them out of our way.
They'll just block the protest sites, too.

$1.2 million is nothing for a modern military. They probably spend more than that for a single part for their fighter planes.
They probably spent more than that on the R&D for their amazing new 3D-printed cockpit radio cover.

You haven't browsed the Conservapedia yet...
If i send a private message to someone on facebook, I feel I deserve the same level of privacy as if I was using gmail to send it.
None at all...?

And the Chinese will have even bigger satellites watching those satellites...
That's why they fixed most of the issues in Windows 8.1. You should try it.
I did. They haven't. It still takes me away from where I'm working (the desktop) into Metro at every opportunity.
Want to view an image? Let's go to Metro.
Want to play an mp3? Let's go to Metro.
Yes you can fix it but you have to do it for every single file extension, on every computer you own.
Or... I could just stick with Windows 7.
Hmmm. A difficult choice.
Not.
Dear Microsoft. If I wanted a tablet interface I'd buy an iPad. Got it?
In other news: There's people at University who believe in time travel...
What next: Ways to detect the Easter Bunny?
I think this matches the thread/site better: https://xkcd.com/567/
'm assuming that's due to loosing the encrypted tunnel.
It certainly wasn't due to finding the dictionary.

Oh, dear. this thread's going to be a total trainwreck...
It's the word "Your" that he's unable to use correctly.

God is the intelligent universe itself.
If we're allowed to choose our own definition of "god", then sure, "god" exists. He could be my cat for all I know.
OTOH the article is about the Christian definition of "god". Please stay on topic.
Most (all?) of science is unprovable.
OTOH some things have evidence, which is a good reason to believe in them.
Religion has no evidence to back it up, believing in it is the definition of irrationality.
if you believe in unprovable things your brain is defective.
String theory?
They're federally insured so they don't care...

You know how I know you didn't read the article?
Hint: It runs a file called "hack.bat"
I have to believe that programming and puzzle solving have similar effects.
I get the same effect from reading a good datasheet.
(The plots are usually quite linear though so they won't be to everybody's taste...)
You don't know who "Amundsen" was, do you?
