I think its more than just thinner devices. Keep on adding parts and whatnot is the culprit. Apple right can do it right, but Samsung is running into problems trying to do what Apple is doing.
Weird.
It's almost as if somebody's managed to connect to the Internet but they never heard of a single site where you can type "iPhone fire" and see pages of results.
The only difference between an "integrated battery" and a removable one is that the removable battery is encased in plastic packaging (and is actually a battery).
It's almost as if you believe that's an inviolable law of the universe: Batteries MUST have a rigid plastic case.
I wonder where I've been buying those batteries without a case all these years. Beats me.
That doesn't mean there isn't a clear definition of "human rights" to aim for, eg. this one:
http://www.un.org/en/universal...
Worse, it affected their share price.
they're attempting damage control until they figure out what to do next.
It's not as if they can change the recipe. There's only one source of the main ingredient.
How can this possibly be "patented"? It's been in every movie for the last 50 years.
The patent system is completely broken.
This could have been a simple battery recall if they still used removable batteries.
Yep. How is he 100% certain it isn't a problem with the battery controller chip? Beats me...
If I die, I will have lived.
Yep. Your daily commute is really "living". I admire you for being so alive.
Nothing kills young healthy people like cars do.
Motorbikes?
Motorbikes kill more young people than the military does (but we don't treat bikers like heroes, do we?)
Standard issue tinfoil helmets should work.
You never wrapped wire around a big-ass nail and connected it to a 6V battery?
Where do I get a 6V battery?

(shrug)
"Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is a product truly built to blast"
I like that one.
If only there was a way for a massive tech company with highly skilled engineers to find out if a phone is overheating its batteries.
Like holding it in your hand, for example.
And why would they burst into flames when not in use and not charging? Only rtb61 knows the answer...maybe Samsung could hire him!
Samsung has had a lot of quality control issues.
So has Apple. Your point is...?
The most unsettling part is that Samsung knew of Klering's phone, and didn't say anything.
That reminds me of how Tesla handled the first few fatal accidents with the Autopilot.
It's still not as dangerous as this incident: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/new...
It's almost as if you don't know there's a place on the Internet where you can type "iphone fire" and make an objective comparison.
All this is just media frenzy, Samsung is no worse than anybody else. Does anybody else remember "Nokia fire" back in the day?
it is unlikely that the phones have a dedicated battery monitoring chip as these cost a couple bucks, even in large quantities,
Complete bollocks.
"I have gotten hundreds of emails from consumers who have had to buy new phones to replace their broken iPhone 6 Pluses."
"Had to buy"?
Was somebody holding a gun to their heads and forcing them to go to the Apple store?
Completely unlike the one in the iPhone 7, right?

WTF are you on about?
If you crack open an iPhone 7 the battery just lifts out (there's plenty of teardowns on the web for you to look at pictures)
All we're talking about is the waterproof seal. You're trying to prove it has to be massive and would add immense bulk to the device.
(which it clearly doesn't, it's just a very thin rubber gasket)
No, YOU'RE a fucking moron.
I know this because I can go on the Internet and type 'iPhone 7 teardown" and see it for myself.
I just did it and it came up with a picture of you with the words "fucking moron" written across them.
Here you go:
https://www.ifixit.com/Teardow...
Pay special attention to step 9 - a picture of somebody lifting out the iPhone battery with the following text:
While the improved battery life is great, we're more excited about the fact that this battery keeps its replacement-friendly pull tabs
Please let me know if you have difficulty with the words "replacement-friendly pull tabs".
Moron.

Huh? Somebody made a false claim about waterproofing.
I never once mentioned Apple vs. Samsung.
It wouldn't be difficult to get 100 cellphone batteries together on the other side of security and use them to start a major fire on an aircraft.
(ie. Send 100 people through with cellphones and gather the batteries together...)
Could you bring an aircraft down that way? I don't know.
All you're really saying is that's not a selling point for most people.
ie. Ignorance is rife, film at 11.
My 200m water-resistant divers watch uses a 0.3mm gasket.
0.3mm.
0.3..
Get back to me when that number has sunk in.
