    Funny that!

I've got a GSM phone with WiFi (bluetooth etc) sat in my pocket at the moment, it's the O2 XDA Mini S (nice phone) from the UK. No problems installing Skype on it either.

Must be a USian thing, as there are lots of phones in the UK with WiFi (XDA series, the E series Nokias)

    Hmm,

I don't know about the US, but here in the UK when I did CS (Durham Uni 2000-2003), we did Z, Set Theory, Formal Specifications, as well as looking at "testable languages" such as Haskell and the such.

    The stuff is out there.

Now, I'm all for a bit of support for OSS, however given the choice of Using Linux and having to work from the office, or installing Windows and spending more time with the wife and kids.
I know which one I'd choose.
Software comes and goes, hopefully your wife and kids won't

Just installed it and upon reboot, it seemed to disable some things from starting, Sidebar XP, SIMP and MSN, which was a bit odd. could be a coincidence .
So it's sat in the background, didn't look as good on the sidebar as what I have already

Not sure if this is the case any more, My folks live in the Canaries at the moment (which I realise is significantly more south), and they can now no longer recieve *any* of the bbc channels, it seems as though there was some re-distribution of the satelite coverage to keep it more UK centric

    You sir are correct.

People bitch about how we are destroying the planet and we must try and save it. Nah how homo-centric of them, yeah we might change the planet to a point where humans can't live here, but in the blink of an eye (say 10,000 years) there'll be something else here.

That said some aliens may try and suck out the molten core of the planet and replace it with candies.. then we are all doomed.

As for the advertising. Well my bittorrent client has no images, I can turn adverts off with Mozilla on web pages, so I'm fairly free. There are ads all over the internet now, why is this any different.. Now if they started inserting ad breaks into a film I downloaded that may be a different matter.
