    Also add in that many of the books out there about ninjutsu techniques (not counting the fraud crap like Ashida Kim), many of the techniques are explained improperly and/or pictures are put out of order or shown improperly on purpose. I know that in my Genbukan curriculum manual (yes, we have a standardized training manual that shows which techniques are required for each ranking, unlike the Booj :P ) that there are numerous examples of this. This is to keep any random person from just buying the manual, trying to learn the techniques and then passing themselves off as a Genbukan practitioner. A teacher is required for correct instruction, with the manual also leaving out much that is only kuden (oral teachings) that can only come from a qualified teacher. The manual is only really used after the fact as a reference guide to look back on as an outline.

    If there weren't others going around saying that their stamps tell them to go to war, or that if they blow up bus loads of innocent people to get fill up their stamp books quicker, there wouldn't be a need for such anti-stamp collecting people.

    I would imagine that since the majority (I'm assuming here, of course) of people using iPods are going to be listening through the iPod earbuds, they would want to test using that. Sure, they could have tested it using the highest quality headphones on the market, but how would that be representative?

    I'd love to do all my music production in Linux, unfortunately I have a MOTU 828mkII for my audio interface and MOTU MIDI Express 128 midi patchbay, neither of which have drivers for Linux that I'm aware of. I got these pieces before I started fooling around with Linux, so there's my excuse. :P I've inquired to MOTU about Linux support, but I've never received a response. Anyone else using this stuff and know how to get it to work with Linux?

    It is if I (or whoever) create it and say it is. That doesn't mean anyone is forced to pay for it, nor does it mean anyone is entitled to access to it without paying for it if I so demand it, just by virtue of it being "art".

    The flip side to that is if artists shouldn't expect to profit from their work, someone else shouldn't expect to access to or to consume that work either. Artists aren't guaranteed to get paid if people refuse to buy their product, then people won't have access to that work either, just like anything else you refuse to pay for. You shouldn't get to have it both ways.
